Smart feature set for cleaning carpets, hardwood floors and spills
Very smart robot vacuum which will no doubt clean for me and continue to entertain me immensely.It is a very nicely designed robot vacuum with 2 sweeping brushes, a roller brush unit and mopping action accessory set to ensure a more thorough cleaning of both carpets and hard floors than you can get solely with the sweeping brushes on the other models. I particularly like the three stage cleaning system it uses namely auto cleaning, spot cleaning and edge cleaning with modes for scheduling cleaning operations while you are out of thee house to ensure minimal disturbance.
I’ve been particularly impressed with the combined action of the dual sweeping brushes with roller brush as I’ve noticed it really helps loosen the dirt and cleans more effectively than when only using the sweeping brushes.
The mopping accessory with water tank works fine for giving the kitchen or bathroom floors a quick wipe clean or a tackling a small spill but anything more than that as you would expected you will still require to use a good old fashioned mop and bucket to clean a larger floor area thoroughly.
One issue I have found with all robot vacuums is that the sweeping brushes can and do get sometimes caught up in loose cables on the floor even pulling a light down off a side table on occasion. On other very rare occasions other loose items living around have got tangled so its good to tidy up your cables and junk in advance which I now do out of habit.
Tthe run time on this unit is very good at around 110-120 minutes / 150m3 as described as it maps out where its been very efficiently so it doesn’t waste time redoing areas its just done. Frankly it looks like its lost half the time but clearly know exactly what’s its doing and is obviously much smarter and more efficient than me. It can clean most of the rooms in the downstairs of my house on one trip then work its way back to its charging base to recharge ready for next use.
It is especially good at cleaning under the beds and furniture collecting dust, particles and any nasties that would otherwise lay and build up untouched for years.
Cleaning the dusk collection box or mop box in between cleaning operations is very simple with a quick push of the red button on the rear of the unit then pull out the part, clean it and return it.
The previous model I have is operated simply with either the button on top of the unit or the free app. This model however has the added benefit of being operating not just with the button on top of the unit or the free app but it also has the added functionality of a dedicated remote control as well as Alex / Google voice control integration which is one of the key features I really wanted to add to my smart home. It never fails to entertain me and the family as well as the odd visitor.
Unlike some other vacuum’s this one comes included with spares such as a spare set of sweeping brushes, spare filters and a spare mop cloth.
