honestly i don’t think i’ll ever get over Miss Hammurabi and i don’t want to. the reason being that the characters and the court cases are so relatable. here you have park cha oh reum trying to fight against injustice and wanting to help others so SO badly.

then you have im ba reun who is like ‘ugh i hate humans’ and sees the unfairness in the world and tries to look at things from an unbiased perspective (look at the figure he has on his desk - a blindfolded woman holding a pair of scales - Lady Justice).

then of course you have the angry, hot-headed chief judge han, who says what’s on his mind and doesn’t let anyone hold him back, but knows when to back down from a situation.

AND THEN you have the OST with songs like Someday, Somehow that has a melancholic tone and it makes you think about how unfair the world really is and whenever that phrase “it’s alright” is sung, it’s just. so sad. but also very comforting.

it shows that you can’t change the world, but you can change someone else’s world, one step at a time, and that will cause a domino effect that will lead others to help others and maybe we won’t get to see the world change drastically, but slowly. slowly, we’ll make the world a better place.

#being in the field i am now (it’s not law i can tell u that)#it’s very similar to this #i may not have the stamina/energy to watch a whole kdrama anymore #but this still sticks with me #the things i do arent monumentous but they’re little ripples and it still makes a difference
