“These next forty-eight hours will be spent in dread and terror. Perhaps with a small bout of excitement in the mix on the off chance that greatness is my destination. Thank you for the input, I’m sure you’ll hear either way which route this situation ended up taking.”

“You never know. However the scratch may have indicated for your arrival here. So that may have been either the good or bad thing, you just need time to figured out which side of the coin it’s going to be.” 

Walking down the halls of the new house, Danneel was still trying to get the hang of the new house. As she was walking she stopped in her footsteps as she watched the person in the lounge, laying on the couches but with their legs in the air and head on the ground. “um… What’s going on here…?” She asked as she lightly crossed her arms across her chest.

Looking up from the book in his lap, Lee glanced over to the second person before lifting his shoulders in a shrug. “I’ve tried asking, but I honestly think they’re drunk and about ready to pass out.” He snorted before smiling over at Danneel. “Everything alright, doll?” 

Emma let out a low moan as she felt another wave of nausea, she knew this was withdrawal. After so long increasing her medication she’d now had it stripped from her, and given the correct dosage. And she was feeling it, she could barely move without throwing up and shaking, she attempted to pull herself further up in her wheelchair. Hearing someone question her wellbeing she could feel a spark of anger and aggravation inside her. “Fuck off,” she snapped. She swallowed harshly after that, she wasn’t an angry person she just felt like shit. She lent her head forward in her hands to attempt the room from spinning. “I am so sorry, I didn’t mean to snap. I think I picked something up on the plane.” she said with another moan, feeling a stabbing sensation in her stomach, tears rolling down her face.

Giving Emma a look of concern, Lee moved to help, hovering, unsure if he should touch her or not. “Did you need a hand, love? If you wanted something, I can see if I can go and get it if you’d like?” He crouched beside her, his hands hovering but not quite touching.

“This new place, it’s errm, it’s different,” he said chewing his lower lip as he played with his glass. The fear in his voice was obvious.

“Different can be good kid. Not to mention, more space.” Lee offered with a shrug.

“Wanna play monopoly?” Jensen offered indicting at the box in front of him. “Been a while since I played it with someone over five.”

“Only if you’re prepared to cheat to win, because I am just that good.” Lee grinned in return.

When I turned 20, I came out to my parents in a letter that took months to write. I’d love to say it was one of those they always knew moments, but it wasn’t. Neither of them understood. I grew up in a time when these things just weren’t talked about enough. And because of that lack of education, we were never the same again. Now, 21 years later, I stand here not only celebrating being 41, but also watching the world celebrate National Coming Out Day. How amazing is that? I am so happy to see how far we’ve come since 1997. That we have worked hard to create a time when people can be proud to be who they are. I know in my heart there’s still a long way to go, but damn. We’ve done alright so far, huh? It’s an honour to share my day with something so incredible and meaningful. Anyway, uh. Wow. That got deep. I guess what I’m trying to say is there’s a bottle of champagne at the bar and my old soul wants to celebrate. You’re welcome to join me. 

“Having known you for nearly as long, honestly I couldn’t be more prouder of you, Matt. You’ve certainly pushed through adversity and gone far. With how far people have moved forward, I’m still wary of a lot of people but, you’re not wrong. We’ve progressed not just as a society but as individuals as well. I certainly wouldn’t say no to sharing a drink with you and celebrating something so beautiful. and the day as well.” 

Guys, I just wanted to let all of you know I had an ulterior motive to coming to this house. I know the presenter told everyone why, but honestly.. I just need opinions on my latest tattoo. Check this shit out. 

“As a lover of the arts, I feel obliged to say that I love it. Although some colour wouldn’t go amiss, that’s for sure.” 

As thrilled as I am to be here, I had my hand clawed by a stray cat right before I entered the house, so handshakes will have to be put off until further notice. I’m sitting here debating whether that’s a bad omen or not. If this were scripted television, I’d take it that this would mean I’m headed straight for danger. Please prove me wrong.

“If this were scripted television, it would certainly mean that you’re destined for greatness, or going to die. No in-between really. So I can’t offer any assurances that you’ll be alright till the next forty eight hours have gone by at least.” 

  A double digit flight and another thirty minute car drive, definitely a good price to pay for being where she is. “You know I think in comparison to the old house this is a definite upgrade, in size alone.” Kat offers briskly, glancing around the room. “The fact that we have such immersive gardens is another positive, makes me glad I chose to come back.”

“Well then, welcome back to the show, doll. I’m hearing a lot of compliments about this house compared to the previous ones so they’ve clearly outdone themselves this time.” 

Don’t know how I feel about being recorded constantly now that it’s on a camera which isn’t mine, but at least it will be worth it when I win this shit.

“Confidence clearly is key. I would say it’s refreshing, but honestly, it doesn’t shock me at this point.” 

‘No, I just..                 I’m uncomfortable sharing with people full stop. We didn’t have to do that at the last house.’

“Big are clearly determined to have people breaking the rules it seems.”

“You do that while sober or drunk? Kind of sounds like some horror movie shit.”

“Always drunk. Certainly more funnier when you successfully frighten someone.” 

‘How about if I say pretty please?’

“Your chances just got significantly higher, sunshine.” 

Eventually she knew there’d be company although she’d had half a mind not to believe Lee would come looking for her; a doubtful mind all the same. “I’d never turn you away, you know that by now.” Is what she has to offer as she relaxes against the grass, head tilting upward to gaze at him; “You plan on getting plastered today, Lee?”

Placing the bottle of whiskey next to Evangeline, Lee tugged his shirt over his head, folding it up before dropping it to the floor and moving to sit down next to her, offering a shrug in return. “When do I not plan to get plastered?” Came the amused hum in response before sighing. “Just want to enjoy the weather with some whiskey is all. Promise.” He murmured as he twisted the cap off, taking a gulp of the smooth liquid. “I’ll share if you want some?” 

“wonderful!” she cheered, “come along mister to the bar, and we can come back for me to beat your ass once more.”

Rolling his eyes with a kind smile on his lips, Lee stood up before offering his hand to Ashley. “C’mon then milady. The bar beckons us and I’m feeling the need for some neat whiskey.”

His voice breaks the silence and for a long moment Megan continues to write, not with intention of ignoring him or being rude but solely because she’s so invested in getting her thoughts out within a timely fashion. “Mmm.” Hum leaves her after a moment, finishing her train of thought before looking upward. “Of course, go ahead.” Gentle smile pressed into her features, “To be fair you can turn the volume back up if you want.”

As he waits, his thumbs stuffed into the jean pockets, he gave Megan a gentle smile as he moved to sit down, shaking his head at the offer of turning the volume back up. As uncomfortable as he could often feel, he wasn’t one to deliberately ignore someone. “It’s fine, I’m not really fussed about the film I just needed to get away from that chaos.” He chuckled before nodding to the book in front of her. “Writing out a novel for the masses?” 

We’ll see. Plus, I believe I can what I please, thank you. It’s nice to meet you as well. 

“What interest am I going to have in your stuff? Trust me when I say I’m not about to go rummaging. How are you finding the house so far? I’ve gotta say, it’s much more organised than the last one.”
