Long time no tumblr post. I’ve been dealing with lots of major life upheavals lately. Here’s some Mollymauk spam from when I shot with @aerobynphoto over on Instagram last spring! I had just finished majorly upgrading Molly’s coat, horns, and tail.

Today I tried to channel the spirit of Mollymauk and “leave the con better than I found it” by giving out flower crowns (straight from Hupperdook!) but oh boy I did not think this through and it made for some of my favorite awkward pictures. (Plus a cute one of Jester!) So happy to see everyone at the TAZ/Critical Role meetup today!

OMG, I’m 100% stealing this idea for DragonCon it is the cutest thing ever.
I actually did it at Dragon Con as well in 2018! Couldn’t afford to 2019 but I just got a very nice new job so you can bet I will be back at it again for 2020!

My final version of Mollymauk’s coat, with all of the beading done, sparkling in the sunlight. It was a lot of time and effort for just a little bit of shimmer but I’m very happy with it.

Hey!! I absolutely love your Taako cosplay, and I was wondering where you got the shirt for it? I’ve been planning out my own Taako cosplay and I absolutely love the effect your’s has (sorry if this is kinda weird, haha).
Which shirt? Sorry, I have like 3 versions of Taako at this point. 😂
The one I wore with the red cloak and red jacket is off amazon. The big puffy one I wore with my harlequin pants and shirt hair I made.
We made questionable beverage decisions and then hopped on DDR at Ichibancon as Molly and Nott in our rave outfits. This is now how I headcanon the scene of them dancing in Hupperdook.

I love your Taako and Mollymauk cosplaysso much! Sorry if you’ve addressed this already but how did you create the jewelry for Molly’s horns? I’ve been trying to make the caps with clay and haven’t gotten the results I’m looking for.
The horn caps were made with leftover worbla scraps I had, and I’m pretty bad with worbla so they’re a little wonky. The larger gold band was foam with beads on top, everything else was made with wire and beads! I found that the key to making the caps on the end look alright was painting/shadows/highlights.

I came prepared for it to get dark at Ren Fest. Fun fact: I am super head-in-the-clouds oblivious and get lost everywhere I go. Thought it would be impossible to get lost as Mollymauk because I figured my friends would be able to spot me, but no. So now I have added bells and lights, both because I just wanted to, and because it helps people find me. 😂

Finally got a chance to shoot with the swords. My con-approved prop scimitars got stomped on and snapped in half at Dragon Con. Luckily I had backup swords, but they are definitely not con safe, haha.
