I haven’t posted as frequently as I have been busy with different mural projects over the past month. This weekend was an absolute blessing, as my duo @belladonnaartiste got to create a mural along with nearly 30+ women muralists/street artists with the @fewandfarwomen for their 11th Anniversary. I love working in murals. Always jump at the chance to do so when I can. They are quite challenging for me physically but in the end I wouldn’t change a thing. This is the current mural @belladonnaartiste (my duo collab) are working on. It’s for the #GoldenMileProject in conjunction with @illuminatethearts and @paintthevoidproject where 12 murals and various art installations, and more deck out the JFK Promenade. Today's piece is one of my favorite paintings from the Rebel collection. This is, "Cable." Cable from the Rebel Series Abstract Acrylic, Mixed Medium Painting 24x24 $850.00 "Cable," is one of the pieces created towards the end of the making of this series. It embodied the perfect combination of the way I painted in my past to the way I was creating with this body of work. A technique that I called "muting." Muting for me was using monochromatic colors of white to silent the colors used within the work and the help elevate the texture in this work as the main subject matter.
