Love that in making Burn Notice they could have made the ex-spy hanging out in Miami the unhinged one, but instead they decided to make him the long suffering reasonable straight man (who just happens to be very good at violence) and make everyone else around him absolutely unhinged. 

Like. He does still get to angst about all the terrible things he’s done and if he’s a killer or if he’s too far gone and all that. But he has to do that in between keeping his friends from running in guns blazing, or his girlfriend from blowing up half the city or his mom from bringing a rifle to her water aerobics class.
