A trope that gets to me: 'guard dog' character and their partner who are both fully aware of it and honestly don't care/kind of like it. Someone says "call your guard dog off" and their partner does call them off. That person, their 'guard dog', is someone who is unreservedly, irrefutably loyal to them. Someone undoubtedly dangerous who is willing to kill, to maim, to obey, simply because of their love for one another. There's no manipulation involved— it is loyalty, brutal, dogged loyalty. And it goes both ways.

taking a loyal hound to my chambers after an assassination attempt and sitting it down on my bed to clean its wounds, praising and thanking it for protecting me, for putting its safety at risk in an effort to keep me alive. stripping it of its remaining armor and undershirt, leaving them to lie bloodied and discarded on the rugs, then running my soft hands along my knight’s exposed skin. its breaths come ragged, eyes hooded and tired but never leaving the candle-lit glow of my face, and it whimpers and groans when i stitch it up but does not make an attempt to stop me. in fact, it leans into my touch like something starved, and i can’t resist letting my fingers trace its muscles and play with the drying blood that paints its skin. i finish my task but one last pained hiss has me soothing my hound with my words, running my fingers through its soft hair, watching its blissed-out expression when i pet it. and it’s really all too easy to dip my fingers below its trousers and take the knight in my hand, listening to its quiet but relieved moans as i reward it for its service to the crown—to its prince. feeling myself get hot and desperate just from watching it rut up into my palm, rubbing my thighs together as my knight clutches at expensive sheets and calls out my name. i can’t help straddling it as it lies there begging for more, for anything i want to give it, for anything its prince desires. i don’t care that i’m being reckless, that if anyone were to walk in unannounced they would punish my hound for defiling its prince. all i can think of is the blood pounding in my veins, how terrified i’d been before being saved by the knight beneath me, how strong and feral it had looked taking on my attacker; it’s the least i can do to thank it by allowing it to fill up its beloved prince, inch by inch. load by load.

As per my recent post! I love the idea of being somebody’s guard dog. I’ll stand loyally at your side protecting you. I’ll be there looking scary and intimidating, staring anybody down to tries to mess with you. People might see us and think I’m the one in charge, but in reality you’re the one holding my leash and pulling the strings. I’ll do anything you say. Behind closed doors, I’m nothing but a pathetic whimpering mess for you

Wearing a strap so my handler can cockwarm it, sitting on my lap - they just wanted to feel full, and "you can do this for me, like a good boy, right, puppy?" something abt being a guard dog just sounds so appealing (and hot) to me. you own me but i also get to protect you, hold you close to me in a way that others cannot (i'll very much make sure of this). and sometimes my devotion can get a little too much, and the line between keeping you safe from harm and being the only one who can fuck you so roughly gets blurred... but you don't mind that one bit, don't you? just tug on my leash and i'll do whatever you wish.
