Just a few expressions I’ve learned today (Spanish from Spain)
- Enrollarse como una persiana: significa hablar mucho/muchĂsimo, tanto que cansa o aburre.
- No entender ni papa: quiere decir no tener ni idea, no saber nada (my favorite)
- Estar empanado/-a: significa estar dispistado, distraĂdo o deconcentrado
- Hacerse el longui: significa harcerse el distraĂdo, el despisado. En AmĂ©rica Latina se usa “hacerse el loco/el tonto”.
- Ser un pringa(d)o: se usa para decir que alguien es muy ingenuo, incauto o tonto.

Hello, my name is Wina and I am 27 years old. My native language is German and I am currently learning and improving English, Spanish, Chinese and French. I have a quite advanced level in English and Spanish and an intermediate level in Chinese and French. Other languages like Japanese, Korean and Portuguese might follow in the future however I want to focus on English, Spanish and Chinese at the moment. I love learning languages as I think it is a huge part of culture you are learning too and I love the distinct aspects of each language.
So what will my blog be about? The main point is: I won’t explain you anything and I won’t teach you German. The blog should moreover provide a learning platform on issues I am currently working on and you are learning WITH me instead of learning FROM me.
I will post grammar issues, vocabulary, small talk, colloquial frases, words and sayings, quotes and discuss cultural topics like Mid-Autumn-Festival, DĂa de los Muertos, etc.
