Today we planted 43 Korean Red garlic bulbs. First, we took apart the bulbs we grew this year. After we separated the cloves, we dug holes that were 4 inches deep and 8 inches apart. Then we the cloves in the holes and covered it with soil. It is important that they are facing the right direction! Each clove will grow into another whole garlic bulb! It will be ready late in the summer.

Ingredients:
Spaghetti sauce
5lb of tomatoes
1 onion ( Large Onion)
2 cups of water
3 tbs of olive oil
3 green peppers (medium)
2 tbs chopped basil
2 tbs thyme
2 tbs chopped parsley
2 tbs of oregano
3 cloves of garlic minced
Salt & pepper
Reviews of the sauce: It was good. It was good but too much garlic. Wasnāt thick enough to stick to the pasta. It was delicious. Little of bit more flavor and sugar to cut the acidity of the tomato. Ā
We made soup in class this week. We grew all the ingredients in the school garden. So first we made the broth.
We added: Tomatoes, potatoes, leeks, beets, carrots, sage, garlic, green peppers, and water.
We simmered the soup for 3 hours and then stain out the vegetables.
Then we added: noodles, mixed vegetables, olive oil, salt & pepper. We let the noodles cook with the soup until they were done. Ā We added more seasonings to have favor. Then we let soup come to a boil. Ā It tasted good!
Today we made the best cole slaw ever! We picked fresh cabbage, carrots, and leeks from our school garden. Then we added minced garlic (Spanish roja) that we had harvested earlier in the summer. Homemade mayonnaise, sugar, apple cider vinegar, and black pepper rounded out the recipe. So delicious!
