Monster Draws

Card #12 of Lousy Coffee card project! Hitoshi is my baku, who makes most of his living by taking on jobs which involve going into people’s dreams, sort of Inception-y style. It’s kind of a niche occupation >u> His types are psychic(dream creature u know) and normal, and his power up items are are travel pillow (travels a lot), a poke bowl (good to-go meal), and a pool set (he plays every now and then) His special move is pretty straight forward I think, haha!

Card #11 of Lousy Coffee card project! Jess is my human medium, who works as a receptionist at a famously-haunted hotel (she is not a fan of the uniform). Her types are ghost (can talk to/see them) and normal. Power up items are pet cat Romeo, mug of tea (earl grey), and candles (just because she likes them).Her special move lets her ‘channel’ abilities of discarded characters :)

potential sign design for one of the shops in Lousy Coffee verse -- a tattoo shop called Rat - a Tat - Tat, where Jen, (a sigil witch belonging to @beastlyart), and Felix, (an also-witch belonging to @uzlolzu, who specializes in tattoos that move) work, along with assorted others :))

Here are some more Lousy Coffee side characters of mine who I haven’t played much or at all yet :)) Paz (girl on left) is a very gangly and socially-awkward alicanto in human glamour -- also drummer for up-and-coming punk band.. Amanda (girl on right) is the very loud and opinionated frontwoman of a different punk band, and is just plain ol’ human, (tho she does have a werewolf boyfriend >u>).

Nita is @uzlolzu‘s seamstress enchantress who makes her living by magicking clothes to fit both her customer’s monstrous and glamoured forms, but is also a very good witch, whose talents encompass much more than what her profession might lead one to believe. Her types are witch (obvi), dark (has been known to summon a demon or two), and healing (she fixes things). Her power up items are iguana Santiago, fast food cheeseburger (the greasier the better), and one of her magic purses (can hold anything you want it to,  a la Mary Poppins style). I though it would be fitting for her move to let her do a little bit of everything, because she’s the sort of character that likes to have her hands in a lot of pies.

Card #9 of Lousy Coffee character card project!

Elias is @beastlyart‘s necromancer cockatrice, who’s worn many shoes over his life, but currently has the fancy job of working as a curator at a posh museum, (necromancy is on the DL, don’t tell!) His types are witch (he dabbles), dark (uh, necromancer…), and flying (birb). Power up items are greyhounds Lear and Sabine, wine/oysters (high class), and a vial of his own special cockatrice blood (blood magic is powerful stuff). His move allows players to resurrect discarded characters, for pretty obvious reasons I hope.

Card #8 of Lousy Coffee character card project!!

Tege is @uzlolzu‘s wonderful cryptobotanist/disaster pokemon, who is a mix of rakshasa and adze. Her types are grass (plants are her main), biting (grr), and psychic (adze hivemind u kno). Power up items are umdhlebi fruits (project of personal investment), coffee (she can drink it now! it’s great!),and work boots (high fashun). Her move is reminiscent of a ‘bind’ type move, because wrapping in vines seems like a sort of definitive plant-based attack, and Tege would def be a plant pokemon.

This is Sanjit, @beastlyart‘s very sassy and hard-to-draw rakshasa  Pawn shop attendant by day, smuggler of various illegal goods by... whenever he feels like it i guess? His types are shape-shifting/biting, and  power up items are hoard of cats (most cats, all cats), beer (one of the only non-trash things he can digest), and passport (gotta go where the jobs are.) His move is shape-shift based, bc that is kind of his specialty, and tigers and frogs are his favorites to do.

These are some characters I’ve had for a while, but haven’t played much yet. From left to right: Chandra (zombie/trying-to-be-a-witch bartender), Chase (werewolf/bro), Katherine (feminist journalist/Mikkel’s mom) and Talât (also journalist/goblin mix/bicycle enthusiast). Height is not as it appears (Tal is short, but not that short) 

Card #6 of Lousy Coffee character card project!

Kaito is my petty criminal kappa, who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, and is sort of trying now to do the right thing, or at least his best. His types are water/grass/poison (poison being slime in this case), and his power up items are Moonpie Dreamchylde (best kitt), bubble tea (fav), and a Nintendo 3DS (#gamer). His move is a cut and run sort of thing, because that is largely how he’s survived, although that’s maybe not as selfish a thing as he sometimes feels it is....

Card #5 of Lousy Coffee character card project!

This is Mikkel, my snarky frost wight/human bartender. His types are ice/normal, and his items are his guitar (he is a musician), oatmeal (secret comfort food), and air conditioner (gotta stay cool, bro). I thought a ‘dispel magic’ sort of move would be fitting for him, because he is a bit of a dick and ‘go fuck yourself’ is basically a catchphrase for him >u>;
