Hi, I'm a highland dancer in Florida and I was wondering if you have any tips for double beat highcuts? My teacher is starting a novice class soon and to get in you need to do double beat.
I'd say the best way to work on it, is to just do it a lot.
Try standing at a bar, and just practice the cut against the back of your leg. Don't try to hop, just work on the rhythm. Do this 50 times on each leg, everyday, and soon enough, the cut will get easier, making it possible for you to start adding in the spring.
