"I love actually having a bump now." Lea hummed, placing her book on the bed as she looked down at her growing stomach. She was trying her best to repress her anxiety about the current risks. Markers in the heart and brain, the doctors had said at her 18-week check-up. In two weeks, she'd have an amnio to determine the chances of congenital and neurological disorders and the likelihood that the pregnancy would even last. For now, she'd pretend everything was fine. If it ended, she'd allow herself and her husband to enjoy it while it lasted. "I think he might be moving around a little. You wanna feel?"
