I wasn’t even supposed to go out that night.

I told myself I was tired… I said I was done trying… I said I didn’t care anymore.

But something in me said: “Just show up.”

So I did.

No expectations. No plans. Just me, dressed like I already had everything figured out—but deep down, I didn’t.

And that’s when it happened…

I met someone who didn’t look like trouble—but felt like it.

The kind of energy that doesn’t ask for attention… it just takes it.

He didn’t say much at first. Just looked at me like he already knew a version of me I hadn’t even met yet.

We talked for hours like time wasn’t real.

No pressure. No fake vibes. Just real conversation in a world full of pretending.

And right when I thought the night was ending…

He said something I’ll never forget:

“You don’t even realize how close you are to the life you keep dreaming about.”

I laughed it off.

But when I got home… I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Because what if he was right?

What if the life I want isn’t far away…

What if it just starts with showing up when I don’t feel like it?

Now I’m not saying everything changed that night…

But something definitely did.

And I haven’t looked at life the same since.
