Leo nodded and then gave a small smile, "thanks. I appreciate it," and he did. He was thankful for being elected and rhat he could help his home in any way that he could. Even if it was just saving a dog in a vineyard, or rather saving a vineyard from a dog. Following the other, "Yeah. Also probably had a bunch of shade to hide from the sun," not that it was particularly sunny out but it was away from the people and the noise too. He looked at the other, wondering what or how they had been on a chase before. For Leo, a chase was probably vastly different than what the other was talking about. But a chase was a chase in the end, and it involved braking a sweat and eventually catching someone or something else. Nodding, "I do. I've got a dog at home, a shepherd who is definitely not one to run around like that." He let out a soft chuckle as they walked along, "you?" @sanjitxgupta

It had been a welcome distraction to go hang out with Leo at his place. With both of them working, getting together outside of a handful of texts here and there was often difficult. A week without a race on the schedule, though, had given Tanner some extra time. "Better be tossing one in that toaster for me, fucker. I haven't been back home in...fuck, I don't even know," she huffed out with a shake of her head. Life had just been too busy and with nothing there to bring her back, her free time had instead been filled with returning to Kismet. "We should go. I get two weeks fully off end of July, we should fuck off to New York for a few days. Get some slices."

"Okay okay, sheesh," he out his hands up before turning his back to grab another bagel and begin slicing it in half. "I wish I could go visit but gotta love my mother sending me them," he put the other bagel in the toaster, both halves now sitting in the appliance. He missed the east coast and the bustling metropolis that was New York city, but he had come to love Kismet Harbor. Nodding and smiling, now turned back to face Tanner he let out a sigh. "That sounds amazing and I think I can take off for a few days to go back home and visit," his mouth already watering from the prospect of a new York slice of pizza. "We really should," he looked for his laptop that he usually had on the counter, "let's look at flights." @tannerkohli

Leo nodded as he listened, his eyes focused on the spot where Sanjit said he saw the dog. "I'll be sure to try to prosecute if it's for the latter," he said with a soft chuckle, eyes still scanning for the animal. Turning back to the other now, "going on four years. Not that I really needed to know everyone in the last few but now as the district attorney I feel like it's probably a good idea." He thought he spotted the pup and pointed, "I thought I saw a flash of white fur down there. Want to check it out?" @sanjitxgupta

"Right, we will need to seriously cut down coffee basically for the rest of our lives but that seems like a nightmare for sure," he laughed shaking his head before letting out a sigh. "I know district attorney is stressful for sure and plus with the amount of coffee it does not help with sleep and less stress at all," he added nodding his head as he spoke. "Being on call does suck, I think the hardest thing for me is those nights when I can't read or put Cyrus to bed and having to leave before he wakes up in the morning."

"Oh it's one of my biggest fears. Being told I have to cut out coffee and caffeine," he blew air through pursed lips before cracking a smile. Shaking his head, "I mean yeah but not as stressful as being a doctor or surgeon. There's no life and death situations but wait. Then again I mean I possibly could have them if I fail to prosecute some." He paused and waved it off, "Okay scratch that yeah it is stressful, but not as stressful as medicine." He sometimes worked on little sleep, a combination of being worked up or having too much work to do. "I can imagine. I don't have a kid but I can't even begin to imagine how much it sucks to not be able to put them to bed some nights." nodding he smiled, "that makes sense." @alecxkincade

The cedar grill and lounge had become one of Leo's favorite lunch spots since moving to town a few years ago. It was quick, the food was good, the prices were fair, and it was so close to work. Taking a break from his district attorney duties, he walked the short distance to the restaurant, hoping it wasn't so crowded. "Taking a break from the lunch rush?" He asked as he noticed one of the waitresses as he leaned against the side of the building near the entrance. @juliet-grayson

"I will not be surprise if the kiddy pool will not be enough," he chuckled. "As a doctor I really should cut down on coffee but, it has not affected me yet so..." he laughed shaking his head. Alec did have a system where he give his body a break from coffee after awhile and he finds that it helps for sure. "Same, for me it's ER Doctors, some of the stuff they do and their hours are insane for sure," he added. "Right. Random question, what was your worst subject in school?" @le0nxrd0perez

"If a kiddie pool isn't enough, I think we both have an issue," he laughed before agreeing, "honestly I need to too. It'll probably help me sleep better at night, I have enough reasons why it's hard to." Taking on the role of district attorney was exciting but it was also exhausting, and stressful to say the least. "Doctors in general I feel have insane hours. Especially those who work in a hospital or are on call? I can't even fathom that kind of shift." Being called in at a moments notice, having to drop everything even in the middle of the night. It wasn't for him. "I'd have to say math for sure. Or science, both of which are why I am in a field that doesn't use wither. How about you?" @alecxkincade

Taking off his sunglasses, Leo nodded at the other, eyes drifting around to see if he could catch a glimpse of the elusive dog. Knowing the saying about witnesses to a crime, that there was no perfect one, he took that and applied it here. "Of course," eyes now focusing upon the man, "It's all good and no trust me." He out his sunglasses back on before pressing a hand to his chest, "other than knowing dogs can't eat grapes, I also know how destructive they can be. Especially when they're running around." Thankfully his own dog was well trained, and he personally had never had an issue with Cooper. "Nice to meet you and I don't think so, though I am trying to get to know as many people in the town now as I can." @sanjitxgupta

Sanjit pointed, his hand lifting to show where the dog was. "He or she was just there," his gaze shifted through the crowd, searching for the dog that he swore he just spotted. "It was a medium size dog," admittedly, he had not got a good enough glance at it to recollect it off the top of his head now. "Unless," his words fell short, a breath falling from his lips before he shook his head. "Unless I'm going crazy and I haven't seen a dog at all." Sanjit lifted a hand to rub his beard. "That's a total possibility." @le0nxrd0perez

Looking over where the man pointed, Leo squinted and tried to see. But he didn't see anything out of the ordinary. He didn't need glasses for distance, at least not yet, but it was just out his line of vision. "Hmm," he pondered and took off his sunglasses, "did you see what color it was?" Asking because maybe it could have been something else mistaken as a dog. "Hey it happens, why don't we go check it out?" He asked the other, "that way if it is a dig between the two of us, hopefully we can catch it. And if not, no harm no foul?" He looked around for a place to put his glass, one that still had some wine in it but one where he didn't necessarily care if he had to get another one. @sanjitxgupta

Alec thought for a moment, "Omg, I don't know. I guess maybe enough to fill a kiddy pool or a pool," the male chuckled shaking his head as he taught back to his college days and then Med school. Most of his money were spent on coffee and even more too. He sighed, letting out a heavy sigh. "For sure, surgeons I will say might have it worst too. When I was in college, we had this coffee shop and it was always filled with Med, law and engineer students. I remember one their coffee machine broke during finals week. Leo let out a chuckle and nodded his head, "exactly. I'm sure you could probably fill up a nice sized kiddie pool yourself with just Joe much you've had over the years." Alec had more schooling and crazier hours, though as an agent he probably racked up just about the same amount. His eyes got wide, "I can imagine. I gotta tip my hat to them. We'll to all doctors really to be honest." Brightening up for a moment, "oh yeah engineering students too. Between those three majors, I dint know who consumes the most. Oh yeah I'd think it would have been a shit show for sure." @alecxkincade

Leo let out a laugh, "I see what you did there," squeezing the other's shoulder gently. Though their paths didn't cross, it didn't hurt to have a fellow attorney as a friend. For Leo he didn't forsee needing Scott for anything in his own life but it was also a plus to be able to recommend someone to someone else if need be. Plus just knowing more people in town was a plus too, more friends never hurt. "Definitely, maybe not stay out after midnight but it's never a bad thing to put yourself out there," he suggested, "you got it good sir. I'm looking forward to it." @scottxmercer
