Sammy Ingram always talks about repetition being key. Repeating affirmations, being persistent. But why would it be the key when it comes to manifesting? Well, repetitive behavior and words are what condition our brains to believe and continuously hold certain expectations for things.
I’ll give a variety of examples:
- You hear a song as a kid. You love it. You keep singing it over and over again. You hear that song again 15-20 years later, you remember all the words.
- You love Coca Cola but you cut back on how much you drink because you’ve seen multiple people online say it’s not good for you. They say it has ingredients that hurt your body. You’ve heard it so many times, so you believe it’s what’s true.
- You grew up in a poor family. Your mom always said, “we’ll never be rich unless we somehow win the lottery.” So, you believe your family will never be rich unless by some miracle they win the lottery.
- You start a new job. Your coworkers complain about how terrible the store manager is. According to them, he’s lazy, he’s cheapy the cheapskate, he’s rude, he doesn’t show gratitude for his employees. You haven’t spoken to him yet, but because your coworkers have all said the same bad things about him, you now expect that this is how he is. You’re not looking forward to dealing with him.
- You start ice skating. You tell yourself over and over in your mind, “I’m not experienced. I won’t do well unless I practice for years.” You struggle for a while and it takes years for you to improve, because that’s what you told yourself.
All these examples are things that happened because words were repetitively said to your subconscious. It’s how we can land in undesirable situations, BUT, let me clarify, thoughts that come from having anxiety typically do not manifest because they’re not consistent, dominant thoughts. They’re driven by fear vs intent. They lack conviction. Therefore, we can overpower anxious thoughts and negative thoughts (those ones that got us into a bad situation) with positive affirmations that will shape positive thoughts and a better state of being.
This is why it’s important to repeat affirmations and, if you’re struggling, to find a technique to repetitively use. Repeat robotic affirmations, take multiple 10 minute sessions out of your day to meditate while repetitively affirming, write down affirmations over and over, put a manifestation board where you can see it everyday. Every single one of those things involve some sort of repetition.
When we need to condition our minds to normalize something that we never or have hardly ever experienced, repetition is key. It’s like I’ve previously said, our mind is like a computer. It needs code repeated to it to reprogram, to update it.
It’s funny. I was talking to my boyfriend yesterday about seeing posts online that spoke about how Diet Coke isn’t bad for you like I’ve originally heard. He says, “Well, it’s only bad for you if you feel that it is.” He’s right. I felt it was and when I repetitively heard it wasn’t, my brain thought otherwise.

i reached the void state again , and i wanted to share HOW with everyone because that's just who i am : an essay , a study case , a luvletter .
two nights ago , i reached the void state . one night ago , i also wondered to myself as i lay in my bed ' should i post this or will everyone think she's just trying to show off ' . tonight i realized , who cares ? it's shiftblr , who cares !!! plus , i just want to help , because i think i finally cracked the code . but that's a conversation for another day ( probably tomorrow because i addicted to blogging and it's winter break ) .
here it is . here's the secret , or well my secret . on july 21st i posted a post similar to this one regarding how i entered the void state and shifted under 24 hours . here's the post . and this post is definitely that one's sister post , even though i kind of don't remember what the other one said since i've changed some things in my routine . i also added pictures to this one because i like pictures .
OK , so enough dabbling in conversations that's not related to the topic . let's start from alllllll the way to the beginning . when i realized i have this huge crush and he's just like my matthew but in this reality and i just adore him so much and my stomach does that flip whenever i see him in the hallways . also , he plays hockey . let's call him mr. hockey . so this random day , a few weeks ago actually , i came to the revelation that i need him and want him and i'm selfish but i deserve it , so i pulled up to manifestation tiktok and loa tiktok . they thought me so much , and i went back to my roots of manifestation . and now because of loa , i have manifestation so many things , small to big , because i am master manifestator !!!
now you may be like ; " venus , why did you just tell us about mr. hockey for no reason at all if it had nothing to do with shifting ??? " . ok so . ouch , whatever i won't tell you guys about him . . . just kidding i probably will !
but anyways , here's the thing . loa . LOA LOA LOA LOA LOA !!! LAW OF ASSUMPTION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PERSIST IN YOUR ASSUMPTIONS UNTIL THEY HARDEN INTO REALITY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHATEVER YOU WANT , WANTS YOU MORE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHATEVER YOU ASSUME / DECIDE IN YOUR 4D , THE 3D WILL ALIGN TO BECAUSE THAT'S SIMPLY THE LAW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! does that make sense ? so i would definitely recommend learning loa for shifting . but i didn't realize that !!! i didn't put two and two together !!! so the afternoon of the night i entered the void state , i put on a subliminal by alunir and hoped for the best .
i soon realized i hate subliminals and they overwhelm me to the max .
that's the thing about shifting though !! you need to explore and find what fits you the most !! and i learned subliminals are NOT one of them , i fear . but we ball and we PERSIST . the few moments before i went to bed , i was enjoying my phone in bed time , and i found a tiktok where this girl snapped everything in place for me . persisting !!!! and then i realized , omg . . . i'm already so good at manifesting , why not just use that in shifting ?? so i did !! like . duh .
( me when i realized i could use loa all along and just persist in my affirmations because they will at the end of the day show up in my reality ) ( thank you dear shiftoker )
ok i have to go to bed soon cuz i'm falling asleep as i type this , so let's speedrun this . that night , after i put my phone down , i laid in bed . . . starfishing . GUILTY . I'M GUILTY , WHATEVER . 2020 shiftok hasn't let me go but it's okay because i starfish because of one reason ; i need my limbs to not touch or else i get overstimulated and focus on them the most . but for you , it might be the opposite ?? i dunno . don't judge bruh .
like anyways , i starfish , i close my eyes , and i monologue in my head like i'm making a post for you guys on how i successfully shifted . in my head , i said all the steps i would take like a podcast because i lowk am a podcast . i tell myself , i'm going to count until 100 and by 30 my body is going to be asleep . so that's what i did , i counted till 30 and after every number i affirmed ' my body is asleep ' . even if my body wasn't asleep by 30 , i persisted in my assumption and moved on like it had happened .
after i reached 30 , i told myself by 90 or 100 i will be in the void state . so from 30 - 40 , i affirmed after every number that ' i am pure conciousness ' ( however you spell that idk ) . by 40 , my body was asleep .
from 40 - 50 , i affirmed after every number that ' i am awareness ' .
from 50 - 60 , i affirmed after every number that ' i am the void ' .
from 60 - 70 , i affirmed after every number that ' i entered the void state ' .
and then i repeated affirmations until i did enter the void state . but here's a little secret ; i started getting distracted by 60 . i started thinking about other things , so i redirected my thoughts by focusing on my breathing and the darkness behind my eyelids . and if i needed to , i would repeat some numbers because i had all the time in the world . by 100 , i was in the void state .
so summary , use loa !! and persist in your assumptions !! you are in your reality because you said so , so the 3d will realize and recognize , and realign . ok bye .

I shifted (even for seconds) while doing no method. my mooties FULLY shifted with no method. some even just meditate, affirm, sleep, then shift. YES IT'S POSSIBLE. STOP RELATING TO THOSE "HAHA I DIDN'T SHIFT BECAUSE I'M LAZY" POSTS!! If sleeping is your preferred method, then let it be and keep persisting! I pinkie promise that you'll shift doing something you're MOST COMFORTABLE WITH!
