Driver

☆ dare i say this is absolutely a t4t relationship.

☆ he really likes to see you in his jacket. it's something that's very important to him, and he knows it makes him feel masculine, so he wants to extend that to you as well.

you can't wear his jacket in public though. he gets really worried about someone seeing it on you and recognizing it. he would never forgive himself if a disgruntled criminal came after you just because they saw you in his jacket.

he will gladly let you borrow other clothing of his to go out in, though.

☆ he teaches you things a lot of things about cars. even if you have a pretty good knowledge on cars, he's always got something else that he can teach you.

he'll tell you about a repair that a car needs done when you're in the shop, and he'll have you try it while explaining it all step-by-step if you need. he will absolutely never admit that he just enjoys admiring you while you do the one thing he does best. just ignore the dopey smile he has on his face.

☆ driver never talks explicitly about your relationship in public, so he's convinced that shannon thinks you two are just a good pair of buddies. shannon, however, is absolutely not fooled and knows exactly what the look in driver's eyes is whenever you get mentioned.

Lars

☆ the concept of transgenderism is genuinely very foreign to lars. he's lived in the same small church town his entire life, and the most non-traditional things he's seen have come from what kurt shows him on the computer.

it's fair to say that he's a little bit confused when you tell him that you're trans. you'll have to teach him quite a lot, and he'll ask questions when he gets curious about certain things.

☆ surprisingly, a lot of the people in town are very accepting of you. they see how happy lars in with you, and they don't question it much outside of that.

☆ it'll take lars some time to get used to everything. the relationship you two have is different from the one he had with bianca, and he's still figuring things out. he's trying very hard to relearn how to be a boyfriend after bianca, so be patient with him.

☆ he teaches you how to chop wood. it's his coping mechanism, and it makes him feel strong, so he wants to give those same feelings to you. (it's alright if manual labor maybe isn't necessarily your first choice of activity, though.)

☆ keeps a picture of you and him in his wallet. he loves being able to take it out and look at you guys together whenever he needs it. it brings him a lot of comfort.

Holland

☆ this man is absolutely not a stranger to gay feelings. holland is the most bisexual person anyone has ever laid their eyes upon. you're just the first guy that holland has ever actually dated before.

☆ he constantly hints toward him wanting you to borrow his clothing, and he is a big fan of seeing you in his suits. he purposely started purchasing duplicate versions of his suits and hawaiian shirts so that he can have a set and you can have a set.

☆ dating holland means that you also get healy as a friend (your guys' third) and you better believe that they are both ridiculously protective of you. someone dares to say something to you? well now they have both holland and healy on their ass.

with this, holly is a big fan of yours as well. she's always despised when her dad would flirt with woman, because to her it felt like he was trying to replace her mom, but with you it's different. you being a man definitely factors in to this, but holly can see how her dad loves you differently than he loved his late wife.

☆ he wants you to peg him so badly that you almost can't believe he's being serious about it.

if you are sex-aversed at all, or asexual altogether, he'll be whiny at the idea of no sex but he will absolutely not pressure you into anything you don't want to do.

Colt

☆ colt is definitely a "dress how you want because i can fight" type of guy. this applies to more than just clothing as well.

you get misgendered by someone? well, don't worry, because colt will relentlessly (and aggressively if need be) correct the person. you want to present yourself in a way that isn't necessarily traditionally masculine? guess what, colt won't let anybody say anything derogatory about it.

he likes to post pictures with you on his social media, and being a person with any sort of fame at all, that means that there will occasionally be hate comments. he removes those types of comments so fast that it's almost like they were never up in the first place.

☆ he loves bring you onto set and to wrap parties and very enthusiastically introducing you to everyone. everyone in his life is well-aware of his boyfriend that he quite literally cannot stop talking about, and most of them are happy to finally meet you.

☆ he has a shirt that says "i love my hot trans boyfriend" on it in bold text and he wears it all of the time. he had tried to find this kind of shirt in a spencers or something, and when he couldn't get the right thing, he custom ordered one.

☆ he play-wrestles with you until it turns into either him wrapping his arms around you really tight and forcing you to lay with him or you two manhandling each other into something a little more intimate.

Ryland

☆ he wants to help you with your hormones, if you take them, because he thinks it's very interesting. he's a biologist, sue him for wanting to see the physical process of your body chemistry literally changing.

☆ if you bind, then he is constantly reminding you to maintain good binder practices. if you have top surgery, he likes to run his fingers along your scars if you let him.

☆ he has a picture of you on his desk that he talks to sometimes when he thinks nobody is listening. his students ask him about you all the time, and he has to physically prevent himself from breaking out into a speech whenever you get brought up.

before he started openly talking about you, however, there was a lot of speculation amongst his students about his sexuality. most said that he had that "gay history teacher" vibe, and definitely dressed the part, while others said that he would probably fit the stereotype of that kind of teacher and end up having a wife and kids. all it takes is one of his favorites asking if he's married and suddenly ryland is rambling about his boyfriend.

☆ he gets incredibly defensive over you and has verbally berated someone after they spoke in a certain way about you. he absolutely does not play about making sure that you are as comfortable in your own skin as possible, and that means not letting you experience any transphobic bullshit.

Henry

☆ he starts seeing you after athena died. it began as something to dull the pain, to distract from the ache that felt neverending, and you both knew it. after a while, however, he saw you as something more than just a way to fill the void. before he knew it, he had something to live for and he could no longer deny that he was falling for you.

☆ there's a lot of conflict in henry's mind between treating you gently and making sure you know that he sees you as masculine. he sees himself as broken, and he views you as something he needs to handle frailly. it has nothing to do with who you are, and everything to do with the fact that you are the most important thing in the world to him.

☆ he has a really hard time falling asleep unless you're in the bed with him. he really loves when you wrap your arms around him and hold him tightly, it makes him feel safe.

☆ if you have top surgery, he likes to kiss against your scars. he has plenty of scars himself, but seeing them on you makes him see the marks in a different kind of light. it takes a while, but now he sees his scars not as a symptom of sadness but as a symbol of how much he has grown.

Driver

☆ this man is a big big fan of shy people. there's no pressure for him to speak around you and he gets to be protective of his partner whenever you're both in public. you both are winning in this relationship.

☆ when you two are out of the house, he'll hold your hand to lead you through crowds so that you don't get lost. if someone tries to have any sort of conversation, he'll stand in front of you and let you hold onto his arm while practically burrowing into his back.

if you get uncomfortable in any situation, ever, then he's getting you out of there and driving you to wherever you so desire.

☆ there's been a couple of times when you've needed to see him at work for whatever reason, and shannon absolutely adores you. the first time shannon meets you, he tries to sweet-talk you and immediately sees that driver cares an awful lot about you when he gets incredibly protective.

shannon knows now that to avoid making you uncomfortable, or driver pissed, he should let you start any conversation.

Holland

☆ holland absolutely does not understand the concept of being shy. he is talking constantly, and to literally anybody that will listen. it's a small miracle that the two of you ended up together in the end.

☆ he talks for the both of you. if you guys are out in public and somebody asks you a question, holland will answer for you without a second thought.

after a while, he starts to speak for you even if you have something to say. once you get comfortable around holly and healy, sometimes you want to speak for yourself and holland will talk over you without even realizing.

he's been told to shut up multiple times by holly so that you can speak, if you want to.

☆ despite all of his natural confidence, if you will, he learns how to chill out a little. he's never really been around anybody as quiet as you before, and it's definitely a learning curve as to how to be with someone that isn't as talkative as him. it's a constant battle between simply being himself and not accidently overwhelming you.

Lars

☆ two peas in a pod. lars is plenty shy on his own, so he understands your affliction.

☆ almost all of the time you guys spend together is at home. lars will find cute little activities to do for dates so that you guys aren't just having the same date with dinner and a movie every time.

or maybe you guys go on walks. he really likes taking you out to have picnics at the lakefront, or when the water is frozen you'll both (carefully) skate across the ice. you're one of the only people that he's brought to his treehouse, and he very much enjoys seeing somebody he loves in a place that brings him comfort.

☆ when you guys do go out of the house, mostly to go to the church together every sunday morning, lars so bravely takes on the brunt of the conversation that people initiate. he gives very short, awkward responses, and you guys are escaping to go home soon enough.

the friendlier folks in the town learned quickly that you and lars are an incredibly quite couple, and now they keep the talking to a minimum if they think it's a bad time. it's something you both have noticed and appreciate greatly.

Ryland

☆ ryland is actually very fond of you being shy. he thinks that quietness is a very appealing trait, and he likes just being able to sit with you without feeling the need to say much.

☆ since he's started dating you, he's gotten better with his shy students. he's heard all of your stories about what it is was like when you were in school, and he lets that reflect on how he acts around the students in his class.

☆ he used to be a wild person, going to parties and doing drug before he became dr. ryland grace. he's kicked that sort of behavior now, of course, but there are still remnants of it that remains within him.

every once in a while, his brother colt will invite him out, and if you're comfortable with it, ryland brings you along as well. he's perfectly content with just being out with you, and if you prefer sitting in the corner of the bar the whole time, then he'll happily join you.

you don't even have to say a word at all, though colt has admitted to ryland that he enjoys when you will open up to him for conversation.

you'll get home from the outing and ryland will tell you how happy it makes him to see the two people he cares for the most in the same room, and how thankful he is that you came even if it's not particularly your thing.

Henry

☆ henry isn't shy himself, but he is very anti-social. he understands the feeling of being in public and wanting to have no one even look in your direction.

☆ he doesn't get out much on his own, besides going to classes and his therapist, so he's fine with just sitting at home with you if that's what you want.

when you guys do venture out of the house, however, he likes to take you to the bookstore. he has a particular corner that the owner has basically sectioned off for him, and you guys can sit back there for hours.

if you like reading, then you pick out your own book to read as you sit besides him. if you don't like reading, then he'll read out the words from the book that he has.

Driver

☆ driver doesn't sleep much anyways. whether it's because he's out on a job, or just plain old insomnia, he always seems to be awake when you are.

☆ he can see instantly that you're shaken, if coming awake in a panic wasn't enough. he knows the pain of what you're experiencing fully, because he gets nightmares too when he does end up sleeping. he would do just about anything to comfort you.

☆ he'll help you in the best way he knows how, by driving you around. it's how he finds comfort, and he wants to extend that to you. he doesn't even care that it is an incredibly odd time to be leaving home at all.

you two will drive around for a while with the radio playing softly, wherever you want to go. if you have a favorite route that you like taking, or backroads that you like the scenery of, then that's where he'll drive you through. if not, he'll drive you down to the creek.

☆ if you guys drive down to the creek, he'll sit out by the water with you, just listening to the rushing river and crickets. if you want to talk about your nightmare he'll listen, but if you don't, he won't pry.

Holland

☆ unfortunately, holland is not the type to wake up easily. this is especially true if he had been drinking a lot the day before.

☆ you'll wake up from your nightmare, and he'll be completely passed out in the bed next to you (he's gotten better at falling into bed after drinking ever since you guys got together, you rarely ever find him asleep in random spots of the house anymore). you will probably have to shake him a little bit if you want him to wake up.

☆ once he is awake, however, he is very doting.

he has a lot of grief surrounding the way he used to treat his late wife, and holly too honestly, and he's been putting in a lot of work to become a lot more caring and attentive. you are very important to him, and he wants to make sure you aren't upset.

☆ his go-to method of making anybody feel better is to distract them. he has a collection of jokes to rattle off to you that he's been building since holly was born.

a lot of the time it's a really dumb joke that makes no sense at all, but you let him tell them anyways. it's endearing, the way he tries to make you completely forget about your troubles. maybe you'll even laugh at one or two of his terrible jokes.

Colt

☆ colt works a lot of weird hours. there's many times where he isn't home, maybe because he's on a late set nearby or maybe because he's completely out of town to film.

☆ if you wake up and he's not there, you know that you can give him a call. he's told you many times that he'll pick up whenever he can, and that he wants you to call him about anything while he's out.

he'll answer as soon as he possibly can, and he'll let you talk for as long as you like. if you want to talk about the nightmare you can, and if you don't, then you can simply tell him about your day. or maybe you don't want to speak at all, and so he'll tell you all about the set that he's on.

☆ if he is home, though, he'll have you sit on the couch with him and he'll put on a movie. it's always a comedy movie, and even though he has a "niche" taste in film, he'll put on something that isn't an undiscovered roll of footage that only ten people have ever heard of before. he tries to keep his choices decently mainstream during these sort of times.

☆ he'll have you rest your head against his shoulder or lap, his arm wrapped around you, and he'll watch the movie with you until you end up falling back to sleep.

when you wake up in bed again the next morning, he'll pretend that he has no idea how you ended up there instead of the couch.

Lars

☆ lars is much better at comforting people than you would expect for someone as awkward as him.

☆ he'll make you a cup of whatever you want, usually tea or hot chocolate, and he'll have you sit down at the dining table before he brings it to you.

he'll pull out a puzzle and dump it out across the table. he starts to put it together, and he doesn't say anything about it at all, but after a while you'll start to help him find the right pieces. he knows that he finds comfort in repetitive motions, like chopping woods, and so he wants to give you a similar solution. it's something small and easy to do with your hands, and it's simple enough that it sparks conversation about other things.

☆ once you're ready to go back to bed, he'll carefully take his blanket and wrap it around your shoulders. he will lay down besides you in bed and intertwine his fingers with yours. his touch aversion still isn't gone fully, but he is slowly growing used to your touch. holding your hand has so-far been his favorite thing, however, and now he'll even run his thumb back and forth over the back of your hand.

Henry

☆ henry is not particularly good at comforting people, unfortunately. he'll try his best for you, though.

☆ he gets some pretty bad nightmares as well, so he can sympathize at the very least. he tries to hold his in, though, and he absolutely does not want the same thing for you.

☆ he'll either take you out onto a patio or he'll open a window and sit by it. he'll smoke a cigarette, and if you do too, he'll give you one. if you don't smoke, however, he'll just have you sit with him.

he'll listen to you talk if you want, and if not, he'll talk for the both of you. sometimes he'll talk about his own nightmares, describing some of the rather gruesome details of what haunts him, but if that's not the vibe (and it isn't most of the time) then he'll talk to you about what he's learning in class.

☆ he'll tell you about the different artists that his professor had the students memorize, and he'll explain their various techniques and what their most important piece of work is.

during hail mary:

☆ you being on the ship with him. there were too many loose ends, and stratt just couldn't let you stay on earth knowing the truth.

☆ you two not remembering one another for a while after waking up. it's difficult, feeling such a pull to someone that you can't even remember. who knows if this is a stranger or not?

you both spend a lot of time dancing around the attraction you feel for one another. there's no easy way to say "hey, im in love with you but i don't remember my life before this and i would hate if you were just some random person that i got stuck on a spaceship with."

it gets better when you two finally regain some of your memories and can begin to recall your relationship. it's still hard though, and there's a lot of mourning for the life you guys could have had together on earth. but hey, nobody better to be stranded in space with than your lover!

☆ ryland being very protective. he makes sure that you always get your rations first, and once food starts to run out, he eats much less to ensure there will be enough for you.

if something happens on the ship, he focuses on you before himself. he'll check you over, scanning for Injuries or illness or anything of the sorts, and fuss over you even if he doesn't find anything. he just gets worried sick at the idea of you being hurt.

☆ rocky having a lot of questions for you both, especially regarding the nature of your relationship once you two start to remember. rocky is of course very interested in the courting style of humans, and basically has you two perform like show-ponies.

☆ adrian now being curious about human nature. lots of questions from adrian, and rocky, and a lot of other eridians too. grace's students on erid really enjoy asking him about things that sometimes they really just have no benefit in knowing.

☆ going on picnics on the beach! placing a quilt down on the sand and sitting with one another while watching the artificial, yet peaceful, environment around you. lots of quiet dates together, just simply being grateful to still be alive and with each other after everything.

☆ having a wedding (whether it be for the first time or renewing vows) with a mix of erid and earth customs. wearing erid formal attire while tying in earth traditions, and getting to do it in front of a lot of rock friends.

☆ finding ways to memorialize your earth life while on erid. creating art of your friends and family (coltland twins im looking at you) as to not forget their faces any further. telling the eridians about earth stories and people. ryland telling his new students about his past students.
