Gabe tilts her head to the side; still confused and trying to search her memories until the moment they give her their name. Gabe has to stand there slack jawed for a minute. “I thought I’d never see you again,” when Gabriel speaks now her voice is quiet and gentle. A complete 180 from her previous tone.

Gabriel quickly becomes concerned when she can’t make herself recognize him or recall a name yet he knows hers. Not to mention the way he said her name. She had to assume he was a particularly upset former mark. “Listen, whatever you think I took, I’m sure I can explain.”

Gabe was trying to text someone back instead of looking where she was going when she collided head on with someone. She looks up to see the person she’d collided with and finds an unfamiliar but also not entirely unfamiliar face. “Oh, sorry,” she says as she squints at the young man before shaking her head when she can’t place him. “I need to be more careful.”

“I think if you stole the moon you and everyone else on earth would in fact die. And then there would be no buzzfeed unsolved to be on, so I think you’d have to haunt yourself.” The reference went totally over Gabe’s head. “I can do better than phantom of the opera, I’ll promise you that much. Personally I’m planning to live forever.”
