To Be Frank.

Andromeda smiles brightly and gives a light laugh as he returns the nudge. “Well, that is very true. I can’t really disagree with that too much. She just… she has a lot more to prove to our parents than Cissy and I do.” 

“I suppose you’re right... I kind of forgot what it’s like to be a part of our world. My parents are just so different.”

“Fair point, say you hate the Slytherin seeker then, not my brother.” he grinned. “By playing better in the next matches, Frank!”

“Hey now, I did my part. I’d like to think I played phenomenally. One can only do so much.”

Pandora shrugged, still not looking at him, or anything in particular. “You light up when you talk about her, it’s sweet. I’ve seen it happen a lot, so I know exactly what it looks like.” The girl murmured. 

Frank let out an awkward cough as he avoided Pandora’s gaze. “I uh... I guess it’s time I seriously thought about it.”

“Hmm…thanks.” She all but literally hummed, giving him a small smile before the girl seemed to flip a switch, drifting off into her own world her eyes becoming distant and cloudy. “Are you going to date Alice?”

“W-What?” Pandora’s question caught him off guard. His face flushed crimson as his gaze dropped to the ground. “I erm... I... uh...”

“Yeah, I suggest never to use that line on anyone. Ever.” she laughed. “I’d rather you talk like you normally do.” 

“Note taken.” He said with a grin. “Alright then... guess I missed you more than a I miss winning quidditch.”

“I love you too, we are friends.” She nodded with a smile, leaning over to give him a hug. “Thank you for being my friend.” 

“There’s no need to thank me. You’re wonderful.” He stated with a grin. “It’s a pleasure being your friend.”

Tom clears his throat in a playing manner. “I miss you like the sun misses the flowers, like the sun misses the flowers in the depths of winter, instead of beauty to direct it’s light to, the heart hardens like the frozen world which your absence has banished me to.”

“That doesn’t sound like very much, Frank. Do skies really miss storms? I prefer clear skies.” 

“I mean probably? It sounded better in my head.” He said with a sigh. “What would you I rather have said?”

“Apparently not.” he chuckled. “But I miss you too. Now that Hufflepuff has lost as well, we can cry together.”

“Me? Cry? Never.” Frank scoffed before letting out a laugh. “But yes, we can cry together. Hopefully Ravenclaw kicks Slytherins ass next time they play.”

“Okay, listen, you can’t hate him, only I am allowed to.” he said poking his chest with his index finger. “And I have no fucking clue. But it’s a dumb idea.”

“But I hate the Slytherin team equally, he’s not special.” Frank countered. “Doesn’t that count for anything?” He let out a groan. “How’re we supposed to get the cup now?”

Todd let his lips press against Frank’s in a brief kiss that lasted barely a minute before he slowly found himself pulling back. At first, his eyes explored Frank’s features, trying to decipher what he was thinking before the grip on his collar loosened and he slowly took a step back. “I’m sorry. I don’t know why..you can just forget that happened.” He mumbled, his gaze fixed on the floor. 

“What are you talking about? Who? Which lady?” he asked frowning a little.

“It’s a metaphor Hugo. Don’t you get metaphors?”

“Why are you so sweet to me?” She asked with a bright grin. 

“I mean I love you, we are friends.” He said with a shrug, running a hand through his hair.

“I didn’t know I could feel sad and happy at the same time,” Alice mused, a quiet statement more to herself than him. “I miss you too. You have my permission to physically remove me from the library when I overdo it with studying again.”

“What? No, don’t feel sad.” He replied quickly, reaching out to take her hands. “And I absolutely will do that when the time comes but... I mean NEWTs are pretty important.”

Tom laughs lightly. “Aw, that is very sweet of you Frank. And now I feel I should have said something much more poetic.” 

“That… you are right about.” She said with a half smile. “Can’t help it when half the things you say don’t make sense to me.” 

“Hey now, I make sense... some of the time...”
