"maybe we have to do something else if it's not going away. no matter what just know i'm here for you." no matter what logan wanted to do andy was more than willing to be at his side, being whatever he needed from her. as she picked up she lets out a gasp of surprise, but after a moment she finds herself curling in to him. this was the love she craved. "mmmm you better keep that promise. or else you're in trouble," she muttered softly. "you're lucky you're distracting me with how comfortable you are."

"You already got so much on your shoulders." He says sighing softly and shaking his head a bit before correcting himself. "No, as much as I don't want to put more on ya... I'm not doin that push away shit." The man says holding her close. "It's terrifying for some reason, like not doin that is a risk to ya but, I'm not fuckin this up." He needed a bit of a distraction and her reaction to being picked up made him smile. A chuckle coming out of him before his voice turns soft but mischievously seductive. "What if I wanna be in trouble?" He carries her over to a chair so he can sit and just relax holding her in his arms. "I don't think I've ever been more comfortable than when you're in my arms."

"A whiskey." Matthew replied, looking over at the other. "Yeah, I couldn't tell you. Unless we met before DC or I represented you. I'm a criminal defense lawyer, here in DC and also in New York."

James nods, still struggling to place the other. He then motions to the bartender. "Two more whiskeys." Though he chuckles and shakes his head. "I've gotten into some shit in my day, but nothin that landed me in courts."

"you have not bad ideas all the time. stop selling yourself short, uncle logan," lizzie insisted as she nudged him softly. "uh yeah right. name one time you have ever been remotely super selfish. in fact i might bee two or three times actually as proof."

James chuckles and nods slightly. "Yeah, ya might have a point there kid." He'd give it to her, it's not like she knows all his youthful dumbass choices. The mutant then sighs and shakes his head. "I'm not proud of those moments kid. I don't lie to ya though, right? So, believe me, I have."

"i would never kick your ass and you know it," andy insisted with a soft smile. all she wanted was to give him the space he needed while he figured things out. she was just happy to go with the flow of it all. "have you like---maybe talked to someone about it?" not that she was sure what anyone could say or do nor did she really even know who to talk to. all she knew was she didn't want this plaguing him. "good. that was the goal. the dreams are just part of the outside world now while we are in our own little bubble," she chuckles. as he talked about the visions he got yet again she ends up nodding her head. "i'll keep that in mind. are they happening more frequently then? because i've got admit i'm starting to get really worried here..."

James chuckles softly as he holds her close. "Hm, no. I've really been keepin it to myself and just... waitin for it to go away." He responds honestly before just happily listening to her. When she says about them being happily in their own bubble, he nods before quickly picking her up in a princess carry. "Hey, it's okay. It hasn't gotten worse. If it makes ya feel better, I can go get it checked out. But it's gonna be alright... I promise."

"I don't think so? I was just getting a drink." Matthew replied with a slight nod towards the other. "although, i do feel like we've met before...i just don't quite remember when."

"Whatcha havin?" James didn't know why he was so curious about this random person, but he was. "Same. Bugging the fuckin shit outta me."

"you know what? that might actually not be a bad idea." lizzie mused out loud. it wouldn't hurt to themselves more organized; their room was proof of that after all. "i am joking. i am the biggest pain in the ass and i know it. i'm selfish and i'm a bit---emotional and impulsive. but no one can ever say i don't show up for family when they need it."

James smiles and nods. "I have not bad ideas from time to time." He says before nudging them. "Kid, you just said shit that fits me too. Just blame genetics, it's quicker."

there was a pounding to andy's heart; one that she hadn't experienced in a long time. for her? that feeling seemed to be something that eluded her. or something she could grab on to only to have it ripped away. "you better not be making a promise you can't keep,'' she scolds playfully but there is a truth to it. the thought of losing this feeling again was a hard thing to think about letting go of. "what kind of visions do you specifically see? if you don't mind me asking. like... are they clear? are they blurry pictures?" maybe if she could dig a little deeper she could do some research on her own; maybe see a potential cause and how to fix it. a small smile pulled on to her lips. "i think it's needed. with my work stresses, the stress you've been under, i think shutting the world out and being together is just what we need. before my friend stella pulls us in to a double date," she stated with a laugh.

James chuckles softly, he feels a slight worry in his heart but shakes his head. "If I ever seem to get close to forgettin' kick my ass. Cause I never want to lose ya." He says before kissing the top of her head again and holding her close. On the topic of the visions he gives a soft sigh. "War. Civil, both world wars, Vietnam. Goes from seein a cannon ball fly at me to hell in a jungle. They're so clear I can even smell em." It was really disturbing to him and he thought he sounded crazy for admitting it. Yet, hearing her describe they're date hidden away from the stresses of the world made him feel more relaxed as he held her. "That sounds perfect. Just a day and night with you and nothin else to bother us? I'm feelin a lot better just talkin 'bout it." The mutant chuckles softly at her mention of a double date. "Yeah, by the way, in case she asks 'bout it; one of those vision shits hit me when I saw her last. I had to ask her to repeat what she said. Tried to explain it but, I sound bad shit crazy even to myself tryin to explain it.

"oh thank goodness. and here i thought i was going to facing charges for breaking and entering." there was a teasing tone to lizzie's voice as she gave a little grin. "uhhh. yeah. probably. mixed up with the many, many keys on my key ring," she admitted. hell she barely remembered which one was the key to her own front door. "oh stop. i know i'm awesome and everyone who is family should be considered lucky to be family with me," she joked.

James chuckles and shakes his head before playfully bumping her arm. "Would it help if I got ya a new one that has one of those color markers on it?" He suggests, not that there was anything wrong with going through keys but it was annoying when you're doing it. He chuckles and nods. "You're jokin' kid, but it's true."
