[ 🧨 ]ㅤEasily, that would be showing off any Lemurian artifacts you own. If he realizes you have anything that could be tied back to one of his people, you're on his list-- and that's not a list you want to be on.
FFXIV VERSE: In this case, Lemuria didn't exist, but Rafayel isn't fond of the Monetarist members of the Syndicate, and he would abhor how Vauthry runs Eulmore in ShB. I'm reminded of the Samurai quest line and Musosai's desire for justice. Although he's Ul'dahn, he doesn't believe that smallfolk or other cultures (Ala Mhigo, Doma, Hingashi, etc.) should be exploited or appropriated. TL;DR: That treasure doesn't belong to you, put it back.
[ 📿 ]ㅤMost superstitions from his childhood, he's ready to set aside, including (perhaps especially) things related to the Tome of the Sea God. He first learned the legends when he was still little, and that was a lot of responsibility to put onto an otherwise-ordinary kid. It's only natural for him to rebel against those. However, his regular walks along the beach and prolonged baths help ground him in his roots. He was still young when Lemuria fell; responsibilities aside, he doesn't want to forget.
[ 🌪️ ]ㅤThis isn't so much of a regret, but a what-if; living on land has caused him as many hardships as it has given him blessings. He occasionally thinks about how things might have been different, if he could have prevented the horrors that humans have subjected his people to. Was it worth it so he could be closer to his love? Each time he asks himself that question, his answer can only be yes, of course. It was a choice he should never have had to make to begin with.
FFXIV VERSE: If there's anything he regrets, it's joining the Syndicate. He figured he might be able to do some good for once, but seeing them vote to turn away the Doman refugees ignited something in him-- as well as Teledji using their need to help his own image. He'd also donated a significant sum to the formation of the Crystal Braves, and we all know how that turned out.
[ 🧩 ]ㅤHe's incredibly stubborn. He doesn't like to talk about how hard it was to adjust to life on land. All of his teachings said that humans weren't trustworthy, so he didn't like to interact with them in the first place, and he's made lots of mistakes learning new skills-- like cooking for himself. Just because his Evol is fire doesn't mean he knew how to use it for practical purposes.
FFXIV VERSE: Similar to his main verse, he doesn't like to admit that he's bad at anything, but he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth-- adjusting to life on the road, even with an adventurer for company, did not come naturally. He couldn't even pitch a tent by himself for a long time.
[ 🕸️ ]ㅤHis favorite lie would have to be when MC says she knows him-- she believes it wholeheartedly, of course, and he can't bring himself to prove her wrong. There are things about his past that he doesn't want her to know about anyway. The things he's sacrificed, or the wrongs he's committed...
