REVERSE MINIBANG POSTING GUIDELINES
We're less than a day from the start of the @lbfad-minibang posting period. I know from the drafts you all have turned in that we are about to see some seriously awesome art and fic.
A few things to get out of the way:
We are not strict about timezones. As long as it is January 5th somewhere in the world, you can post.
Multichapter fics can have multiple posts. We will reblog all of your updates. You do not need to post your fic all at once. It MUST be completed and posted by the end of the posting period though.
Artists, you are the same. If you would like to space out your art posts, you and your fic writer are welcome to agree to do so. I know some of you may want to wait to post a more 'spoilery' piece. However, at least ONE complete piece must be posted at the same time as the fic is first posted.
Art and fic can be posted separately, but should be linked together. What I mean by this:
Fic and art can both be in the same post, if the artist and author agree to such.
Fic and art can be linked to each other (i.e. the artist links to the author and the author links to the artist).
Some combination of both. I know a lot of people like to make banners of their fic's art for minibangs, of course.
Your fic on AO3 should ALSO link to the art. It's up to you whether you want to link it, embed it, or both. Vice versa if you are an artist who posts on ao3.
How do I post?
All posts must be tagged 'lbfad minibang'.
If either writer or artist do not have a tumblr, please make plans for this. You can either have the one of you that does have the tumblr do the entire post (both fic and art), or you can email me your post exactly how you'd like it written and I can post it on your behalf.
If you are a writer, please make sure the following details are included. How you format this is up to you, as long as the information is there.
TITLE:
GENRE/TAGS: Think of this as 'how I would tag this fic on ao3'
PAIRINGS FEATURED: Please list ANY pairings featured. if there is a main pairing as well as multiple side pairings, please list it as; main pairing: blank/blank, side pairings: blank/blank, blank/blank. If you have no pairings, put 'none.'
MAJOR CHARACTERS: These are the character tags you would give your fic on ao3.
RATING: Please use the ao3 rating style-Â G: General Audiences; T: Teen And Up Audiences; M: Mature; E: Explicit: only suitable for adults.
WARNINGS: You must at least use the warnings AO3 offers: Graphic Depictions of Violence, Major Character Death, Rape/Non-Con, and Underage. For a lengthier guide, please check the #content-warning channel of our discord. If you have no warnings, put 'none.'
SUMMARY: Self explanatory.
If you are an artist, all of this information is not necessary, but if your piece contains any of the AO3 warnings (Graphic Depictions of Violence, Major Character Death, Rape/Non-Con, and Underage) OR it is mature of explicit, it must be labeled as such and put behind a read more.
