Owl monkeys, also called Night monkeys are the one and only monkey species that is active after dark. They live in South America, owl monkeys have large eyes that are adapted to their nocturnal lifestyle.

Monkeys experience loneliness just like humans, both mentally and physically. When they are separated from their groups, they show signs of sadness, stress, and even depression. Studies show that monkey's brains change in similar ways to ours during isolation.

That shows that the need for connection runs deep across species 🐒
