Mind over Matter

“Well you’re definitely cute, are you here to keep poor, useless, me company?” a laugh following her self-insult. Looking at Pudding-chan with a small smile, was this the horse her Prince was riding in on?

“..You know…We could cure each others loneliness, right now.”

Immediately at the pitch of her voice, Kei was wanting to draw back and disappear. As if he could of course -- it was always in his life to get dragged about. Even with situations like this, having a pet.. Look at what it dragged him into now, tch. 

Just when Kei has enough to deal with, there’s a small, white kitten running towards him before bumping its head against his leg in its haste. A moment later, the kitten’s owner nearly does the same. Nearly. However, fortunately for Kei, he took his blindfold off, so a collision was avoided.

“.. Erm.” 

Pulling Pudding-chan a bit closer to his body at the appearance of a cat. .. Was he going to be stuck with two animals in a house all by himself? -- Fitting. .. Inching just a few paces back to rid the kitten off of him. 

This lovely occasion of taking her out, literally only ended up with Kei making a rather disgruntled expression over the nearby girl as she complained over being lonely. .. Pudding-chan taking that as a queue to run over to her anyway.

“Okay Cinnamon….” Inigo mummbled looking through the book. What if rather than trying to shield… We attack as a shield?

“Fire electric bolts at the waste to crumble them!” Inigo shouted. He watched in fear as the pieces of the arena crumbled into harmless pebbles. He sighed with relief, putting Gaius down and running back behind Cinnamon.

“Right, Okay, now…” Inigo mummbled looking through the book again. “Summon a huge thunder strike, right at them.” Even if the attack missed, the arena’s battlefield would become harder to fight on.

“Use the literal world around you to deflect the strike!”

And by that, half of the arena was flying high in the air, using itself as one giant deflector to avoid anything coming at Goober or Kei. Although the strike did rip the giant wedge of building and ground almost in half, it worked out rather decently... Except it did exhaust probably a lot of strength.

“Alright, now... Since we have a shield, let’s step this up a notch!” Did this arena still event exist to be honest? Whatever, looking further into his spell book.. Portals.. Portals were useful. But in order to fully work it he’d need this boulder broken down a few more times hmm.. 

No, no, there had to be something else... .. Oh!

The storm intensified, causing more rain to hammer down into the stadium.

Honestly, he was really only bothering with this because if he didn’t Death would rage on and on about how they could have won something amazing from the tournament. Goober didn’t seem to care one way or another, and just kind of floated around---

Flipping open the pages of his book, he nodded at Inigo. “Right then..” What would this spell do.. “Warp Reality, Goober!” .. In which a few bits and pieces of the arena started to crumble, then were teleported up high in the air and skewed in multiple different directions. Yeah, He’s going to just summon Death to protect him.

“Is Pudding okay?” Aoko peeked over her roomie’s shoulder, tugging a little restlessly on the back of his shirt. She had to commend the puppy’s enthusiasm for battling the supernatural, especially after she had almost had a heart attack upon witnessing the creepy goat figure. Immediately, Aoko had sprinted out the room, and the collie had bounced in and began the barking ceremony.

"I-It just… appeared when I was cleaning my room." The kid didn’t really seem to care, though. Most chill goat ever. "What- is it? Did… did that come from our egg?"

Shrugging some, he inched on inside of the room and started to pat it on the head. Receiving a rather softly mewled noise as if it was hungry before it happily collided into his stomach with its head. 

“Kei-kun, look what I got!” More like look at what she was told to get and retrieved. Aoko had already established that her room mate was one of those lazy boys who did as minimal as possible, so she went out herself to pick up the adorable little egg. Actually, little was a bit of an understatement— maybe an ostrich egg size?

      On a better note, however, it seemed as though the center had a piano. A very well built one, at that. No one around to interrupt, and a perfectly calming instrument. This would work.

Not only did it give him something to do, it also gave him hope that he could find a way to reach his friends. More than anything, maybe to reach Shizuku.. 

No luck though, and by the time he was back in the center of town he was giving in to the idea that he wouldn’t find one. -- At least the sound of music was a different outcome this time he had ended his search.
