Deep breaths Karamatsu, don’t get heated over something silly w/ a godd ess, just let it go. After calming himself down, he puts on a kind smile on h is face. He’s just gonna forget THAT conversation ever happen, it was best that he did.

    Choromatsu creases his brow, a bit perturbed, watching the priest having to calm himself down.  Had he angered him somehow?  Upset him?  Whatever the matter was, he was glad to relieve his mind of it to continue holding the conversation.

he takes a seat in front of the goddess, crossing his legs as he rested his hands in his lap. The priest wanted to spend time with Megami, but the go ddess couldn’t leave his lake at all and that’s what upsets him. It really su cks having a friend who couldn’t do much.

    Tough luck.  The virtue is a rather stubborn one, after all, though that won’t stop him from feeling a bit guilty for his divine commitment.  There are other stances, however, he stays firm on because he knows for an indisputable fact that he is right.

    [ ✝ ] – ;;  ❝ Admittedly, Father, it is a bit boring.  Nonetheless, I am obligated to reside in this lake until my duty is fulfilled. ❞

    Why were others always so keen on getting him to leave?  The lake wasn’t all too bad; the scenery was nice, the skies calm, and the air clean.  There was nothing fundamentally negative about staying in the lake, unless if there was something he was missing.

       A goddess ?

                          Well, just his damn luck…

Bercilak wasn’t well-versed in the world of divine, holy beings (he barely knew enough about his own world too, but that was a different story). As such, Bercilak couldn’t tell if this guy was powerful or not. As much as it made his skin crawl with impatience, the demon told himself, steady, steady…

The bit of sass did make the demon bark out a small laugh, but it was quick and curt, and not yet on the field of friendly. Not yet, if he was lucky. He floated idly above the water, but kept a few armslength away from the goddess.

“ Y’can call me Bercilak. A demon affiliated with one of the seven deadly sins… ” His lips curled into a smirk. “ Can you guess which one I am, goddess Choromatsu~? ”

    He taps his fingers, raising a brow.  Demons can be affiliated with the seven deadly sins?  That’s news to him - though, he supposes he can’t blame himself for not knowing.  It’s not his responsibility to figure out every nook and cranny of hell’s inner workings.

    [ ✝ ] -- ;;  ❝ Pleased to make your acquaintance, Bercilak. ❞  

    He uses the term “pleased” lightly -  it’s only polite to say so, though he couldn’t allow himself to be keen upon meeting a demon, of all things.  In despite of himself, he does find himself relaxing a bit.  It doesn’t seem that the other has any harmful intentions - yet.

    He puts a hand to his chin in thought.

Choromatsu.

[ Karamatsu feels the name on his tongue, and it makes him ache for nostalgia. His brow furrows and he straightens up, before sheepishly rubbing at the back of his head ]

… do you, perhaps, go by another name? I know someone named Choromatsu already, and… it would be confusing to call you by the same name I call them.

[ … mortals? Well. Karamatsu is dealing with the supernatural today – not that he’s surprised any. Karamatsu extends a hand for the goddess to shake, and then looks around at their stark, white enviorment. He holds out his other hand to the side and extends it. ]

– as for what I am dreaming, it’s nothing special; just things that I was wishing for when I was younger.

    He hasn’t needed to go by another alias, though he doesn’t want to cause any issues for his newfound acquaintance, be it minor or not.  He brings his hand up to his chin in thought;  he’s not creative by any means, though it’s not all that hard to think something up.

    [ ✝ ] -- ;;  ❝ Well, I suppose that I wouldn’t mind being called Megami or Virtue.  They’re only titles, though I’m sure they’ll do nicely for a name. ❞

    He then takes his hand from his chin to shake Karamatsu’s hand, his grip loose yet tight around it.
