This is my law blog where I talk about what I'm learning and other fun things because my autism has law grabbed by the throat and I am not yet bound by the American Bar Association's Professional Code of Conduct. Also, I've decided I'm for sure going into tort law. I think I want to get into injury law. You know, like, battery, negligence, that sort of thing. There's also a law firm near me that specializes in injury law. Will try for that place once I get my certificate.

Introduction to Law for Paralegals made a good point, and one I hadn't thought of before: All branches of the government are involved in making law. In their own ways, sure, but it's deeper than what we've learned in eighth grade.

Update on this: I went thrifting for one because I know of a store that usually has them in stock. So I go over there, and I buy one for eight bucks on sale. I look up the brand afterwards. Their briefcases go up to nearly four hundred dollars. I got a nice briefcase for practically free. I took this as a sign that this is what I'm supposed to be doing.

I finished the latest Law 101 edition. What a fantastic book! If you're looking to get into law or just want to know more about different areas and the processes that go into it, totally pick this one up.

#My next course of action is to study the paralegal textbooks.#I want to have a basic understanding of how to draft various legal documents *before* I go back to school.#I want to be the best at this.#You have no idea.

Good, fun news: I got $300 worth of visa gift cards, so now I am going to purchase a bunch of paralegal textbooks. Here is what I have so far.

Four days of practicing my typing, and according to the website I'm practicing on, I'm already at a 65 wpm.......... Which was my goal. So now that means I get to expand beyond that. New goal is 80 >:)

I've gotten to the part in Law 101 where criminal law is discussed. My head and heart hurts right now. Only solidifies the fact that I want to be in tort.

This is precisely why it was important to the Founders that men (white men) owned property, and why they believed only those people should've had the right to vote. okay LOOK not that i assumed professionalism was beyond what was expected of me because i dont plan to be a lawyer but to just see the whole "yeah so if youre a lawyers assistant in some way you will be bound by the same code of conduct and also the lawyer you work for will be like your babysitter so be on your best behavior" was just a moment of "oh okay so like i actually do like, have a stake in this"
