7:16 at night. June 21st. The night of the Summer Solstice.
The streetlights lit up a main drag that was a shade of orange due to the reflection of the sunset overhead. There were vintage cars parked around the street, Cadillacs and Rolls Royces. Young couples sourced the streets, the boys dressed in dress pants and button up shirts. Girls wearing simple dresses with their hair pinned up in tight curls.
âWelcome to the roaring 20â˛s, Y/N.â
âMy dear friend, Aion, the God of Time,â Sirius said tucking a piece of hair behind his ear, âI needed the absolute best for my girl.â
âYour girl?â she inquired, âWeâve only just met, Sirius.â
Sirius mumbled something under his breath that Y/N didnât quite catch.
âAnyways,â he shook it off, âletâs head over to the Hot Rod Diner, I hear its exquisite.â
Y/N laughed, âI donât think exquisite is the right word for a diner.â
âHm, how aboutâŚâ he took a pause to think, Y/N couldnât help but to watch the way his next word fell off his lips, âdelectable.â
âSure,â she said, a song of laughter leaving her mouth.
As they walked he took notice of the way she looked around, infatuated with the scenery. The way the traffic lights changed on a timer, for there were no cars in the road and how the light of the streetlights reflected against the windows of the shops.
âThis is wonderful, Sirius,â Y/N said with a smile plastered on her face, she skipped forwards a bit. Then turned back to look at him, a cheeky smile playing on her lips, âWhat are your intentions tonight, Mr. Black?â
He took of his tuxedo jacket and slung it over his shoulder, âTo show you the best night of your life, doll.â
âYou did not!â Y/N laughed, her fingers braiding Siriusâ hair as his head rested in her lap in a booth at the back of the diner.
âI totally did!â he smiled up at her, âIâve never seen Athena so flustered!â
âYou were nude, Sirius! What did you expect?â she bursted out in laughter.
Sirius looked up at Y/N from her lap as she raised another spoonful of their shared sundae to her lips.
âOi, donât eat it all,â Sirius pouted, âgive me some, love.â
Y/N took another spoonful and brought it down to meet Siriusâ lips, getting some on his bottom lip in the process. Causing him to bring his thumb up to his mouth and wipe it away then lick away the excess from his thumb. His eyes never leaving hers.Â
âI feel like Iâve known you forever, Y/N,â Sirius said in a husky voice.
 âAnd I you, Sirius.â
Sirius quickly sat up, his hair braided into a french braid from the time prior where Y/N played with it, âLet me show you something.â
 âAnother surprise?â
âWell, a little birdy told me that youâre fond of my moon.â
âThat I am,â Y/N said in a silvery voice, âitâs almost as beautiful as you.â
Y/N didnât know how to describe what she was feeling, and neither did Sirius. But, they felt safe together, a warm sense of nostalgia flooded through their bones. And they never wanted it to end.
8:03 at night. June 21st. Night of the Summer Solstice.
 âItâs stunning, Sirius.â
âThank you, Y/N,â he said wrapping his arms around her waist as they stood on his balcony. Watching intently as the sun had vanished and Siriusâ was bringing up the moon from behind the rolling waves of the ocean.
The moon casted a reflection of light across the bed of water. In the light Mermaids could be seen, leaping and splashing in the water, waving up at where the two stood.
Y/N rested her head back against Siriusâ shoulder, closing her eyes. Listening to the sound of the waves crash against the shore.
âHow is this so easy?â Y/N wondered aloud with her eyes still shut.
âWell, I have been raising the moon every night for a few thousand years,â he chucked, causing his chest to rumble against her back.
Y/N opened her eyes and smiled up at him, admiring his beauty, âNot the moon, Sirius. Us.â
She had known him for approximately an hour, yet she felt like he was always there, with her through every burst of laughter and every tear shed.
They have stood on this balcony and spoke about the smallest things, but to them, they were the most important words ever spoken.
âBecause, my goddess,â Sirius spoke softly, âI think we have known each other before, and had it all stolen from us.â
Her eyes began to water, memories were floating around deep in the back of her mind and she tried to hard to remember. Yet, she couldnât even make out one.
All she could feel were emotions, everything she had ever felt for him, flooding back to her all at once.
âWhat did they take?â she asked, her voice cracking and a tear slipping down her cheek. Knowing the answer deep down, but hoping, praying, that it wasnât true.
âUs, I think. Our love,â Sirius said, pushing a piece of her hair back behind her ear and wiping her tear with the pad of his thumb, âthey tore us apart.â
Y/N took in the way he looked in the moonlight. The contrast of the shadows on his angular features and the light gleaming on his cheekbones.Â
âWho? Who did this to us?â
Sirius scrunched his eyebrows in concentration, âZeus, maybe.â
They stood in silence, watching the water. Enjoying being in each otherâs presence.
A few moments had past before Y/N spoke, âIs us being together a bad thing?â
âHow could something wrong feel so right?â he said, his breath hitting her ear.
 âYouâre a clichĂŠ,â she chuckled.
She laughed and gently pushed him away.
âOi,â he whined leaning back into her, âlet me love on you.â
He pressed kisses to her neck, cheeks, and nose; anywhere his lips could reach.
Y/N began to laugh and Sirius protested, âyouâre not supposed to laugh! Iâm being romantic!â
âIt tickles, my dear,â she continued to laugh until she pushed his face away from her.
Sirius turned her around, pulling her flush against his chest. His laid his hand on her cheek and pulled her closer, âIs this okay?â
Y/N knew that there was something wrong with what was happening. But to be frank, she didnât give a damn.
Sirius leaned closer, their foreheads touching. Dear god, he couldnât fight the thoughts that were going through him.
He kissed her and the world fell away. It was slow and soft, comforting in ways that words would never be.
His hand rested below her ear, his thumb caressing her cheek as their breaths mingled. Y/N ran her fingers down his spine, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them and she could feel the beating of his heart against her chest.
Y/N pulled back from Sirius. Her hand taking his and led him from the balcony to his bed.
Without any worries or thoughts, Y/N pulled Sirius on top of her and wrapped her legs around his waist.
Their lips met once again and he played along. Slipping Y/Nâs dress off her shoulder and breaking their kiss to bring his lips down to her exposed skin.
Once her dress was discarded she began to unbutton his dress shirt, exposing his milky skin.
Every garment of clothing that once adorned their skin was now on the floor. They were exposed to one another, and there was no going back.
On that night, Y/N and Sirius made love under the light of the moon.
