Here’s a lil’ teaser of what I’m working on, aka, the rest of the Valentine’s fic (plus something else I’ll post first, but that’s a surprise).

That night he waits until everyone has gone to their rooms, then he acts. His stomach is tied up in knots as he knocks softly on Glaz’s door, and when an equally soft invitation to come in reaches from the other side, Kapkan freezes. For a moment, he considers running back to his room, but then Glaz opens the door and it’s too late to back out now. 

“Hey Max, is everything okay?" 

He pushes Glaz inside and closes the door behind him, a surge of bravado that carries him to open his mouth, then it evaporates as soon as Kapkan considers what he is going to ask and how. 

Glaz looks at him, clearly waiting to for Kapkan to say what he’s come to say, and fuck, there is no good way to say this, is there? 

"We should fuck,” he blurts, and Glaz’s expression changes to one similar as if he’s been punched in the stomach. Kapkan hastens to add, “If you want to, I mean.”

There’s no answer as Glaz sits on the bed, still looking shocked, and Kapkan starts to think he might have fucked up. Maybe Glaz was joking the other night, or he doesn’t remember offering, who knows. They were all pretty drunk. 

“Is this about…?” Glaz eventually asks, sighing. Kapkan nods, suddenly finding the wall behind the sniper very interesting. He almost misses the way Glaz pats the space next to him, inviting Kapkan to sit down. “And you’re sure you want to…?”

“Yes.” Kapkan sits next to him, trying to not appear as nervous as he feels. “I’m ready. And I’ve prepared too. I mean, I’m all clean. So if you want to… I’m ready.”

That’s an interesting idea 🤔 I do have an idea planned for the cheating misunderstanding, for a fic involving poly!Spetsnaz, so since I didn’t want to re-use a similar premise, I chose to go with the “suspected abuse” one. It’s a really out there idea, and I’m a bit nervous about the result. It already got longer than I planned, since I was aiming for a snippet under 1k and this is around 2k 😅
