Hii hi, here for the oc ask game- can I get #4 for Jocie pretty please. Or #9. bats my eyelashes
Omg I didn’t think anyone would ask for her- you get both <3
4. Describe three of the most important photographs your OC owns.
Jocie's somewhat subscribed to the agent mentality of "don't have a lot of stuff, and don't have a lot of attachments" (emphasis on somewhat, don't look at her closet-) due to her working as an OD agent before becoming a pilot. However, I think she has a photo album thingy in her wallet, which holds about half a dozen photos.
The most important one to her is a group photo she got with her late parents when she got her pilot's license. No Zoraxis shenanigans, just natural causes and a heart condition. She didn't realize how few photos she had with her parents until she was arranging photo boards for the funeral.
Second most important is of her old partner, Agent Smoke (he always had a cigarette or cigar hanging from his lip). He was killed in the field when he went to light up before checking for gas leaks. Massive explosion, killed him instantly. Jocie and Smoke were talking about leaving the OD and transferring to Handling and Pilot divisions respectively already, his death just expedited the process.
The third most important is a photo of Jocie with her squad of fellow OD agents on an infiltration mission. Technically, it's a photo of a Zoraxis event, but to her, it's a photo of her and all her girlfriends dressed to the absolute nines on one of their most successful intel heists in the history of the OD or EOD. Collectively, they got hundreds of hours worth of conversations with Zoraxis elite, dozens of official documents that were either for clearance for large building sites or blueprints for death traps, it's even where they got the official name of the Fabricator, who only had been referred to as F at the time. No one connected F, the Zoraxis trap expert, to Fabricator, the french designer yet. It's one of Jocie's favorite memories, and lingering on it is the closest she gets to rejoining the field. Then she remembers all of the stress and the feeling subsides-
9. Describe a mundane day in your OC's life.
Jocie is in no uncertain terms a workoholic. If she doesn't get air time at any point over the course of the week, she gets antsy. However, her day typically starts with a black coffee and a sweet treat of some sort, slice of pie, doughnut (never Zoraxis brand), strudel. Something like that, caffeine and sugar are always a good pick me up. If it's a work day, she'll typically spend the rest of the day in the air, shuttling agents from mission to mission with a pit stop for lunch and a bathroom break at precisely 2:30. While she will respond to emergency calls, it will get you on her shit list and you will need to bring a wonderful bribe of sweets, liquor, or both to get off of it. After that, she flies until the last day mission's taken home and night shift takes over.
On a day off where she gets to rest, Jocie really, really loves shopping. She likes to flip through catalogues and think of what would look good on which friend of hers, what is a good deal, what does she not have because frankly she has too many clothes and jewelry. But good luck convincing her of that. It's why she was so ready to dress up Phoenix for her meeting with Juniper and her infiltration into his soiree, she frankly already had been looking at formal gowns and weighing the odds she could wrestle the agent into them.
Outside of that, Jocie lives a pretty quiet life. Not out of a desire to be isolated, but more that the EOD is such a hectic gig that if she's actually off and enjoying it, she's exhausted, burnt out, and probably thinking of quitting. Those days are sacred to her, comfy yet glamorous clothing, long bubble baths, lit candles, soft music, some would view her "me" days as just as much work as a day job to set up- But to Jocie, it is an essential day of self care that is worth every teeny tiny step.
Perhaps not the most mundane, but I never get to talk about her- I need to write more fanfics of her stat
