like clockwork , they meet again & while it was fate at this point , michael finds a distaste for this tradition. he didn`t think however to find her here , here in this dystopian landscape where time doesn`t move & he is set to kill a select group of people over & over for a larger beast.
michael just stares at her for an extended moment. almost in disbelief she was here , before his face & more so , the following conclusion: his sister is going to be his victim for eternity ; the perfect chance at a second redemption , to fix his mortal mistake of letting her get away.
she had faced OTHERS , violent individuals who found themselves within this realm as she did -- it was the same every night ; flee , hide , try to make it out alive . it never got any easier , the CRUNCH when hook finds home in flesh echoing in her ears long after the trial has ended . the adrenaline only lasts so long , long enough for her to hide behind a wall until heartbeat FADES && she can at least try to repair the nearest generator .
but ... something feels ... DIFFERENT this time , something feels far more off than the past trials && laurie cannot help the fear that coils in her stomach . but determination is strong , && she sets off jogging to the set of lights high in up that announce the location of a generator .
he LOOMS there ; just staring , watching && waiting . heart in her throat , but there is nowhere she can go --- walls block her from behind , to the left , && a DASH to the right would begin the chase . && so , chin angles upwards , defiance upon her features && she stands her ground .
