The imperfect pot. During my summer residency in China, I was working with #slipcast #porcelain #vessels from a #geometric shape mold. In this instance I impatiently pulled the pieces while the material was still very plastic, creating crumpled geometric #shapes. The results were forms that remain suspended in a state of frozen fluidity. This is another example of the #beauty in error and happy accidents. Magic occurs when one can let go of control, be willing to take risks and fail. #wabisabi #design
