i think the reason tgcf means so much to me is that it's a huge fuck you to the no one can love you if you dont love yourself mentality. it's something i keep hearing and i always hated because of how awful it felt and then this story comes and says that no matter how much you hate yourself, there will be someone who loves you. you have helped people even if you dont realise and those people treasure you. maybe these people can help you find the way to love yourself. it's such a beautiful message and no matter which character in the story you related to most, it applies to them. even the most despicable characters in that story have someone that loves them-and that love alone can mean hope
