Like most digital circus fans, I too have plans for a jax unabstrats fanfiction. It's gonna be a while until I can work on it though so here's a few things for how I see it going down:
It takes a few months for Jax to unabstract
The method of unabstracting is a combination of Jax being drawn back by his friend's love and attention and Caine's power to repair them
Pomni is not able to go back into the abstraction to visit Jax, that one time was the only time
Once Jax unabstracts they realize it might be possible for the others and Kinger becomes hyper-focused on trying to bring Queenie back
When Jax comes back he's kind of out of it for a while, he's not used to the full sensation of being back
While abstracted it was like being in a dream-like foggy bliss. Jax couldn't understand what was being said to him, but he could eventually recognize voices and words or phrases that were said often
Jax still takes a while to transition after returning. He starts by opening up to Pomni in secret. Zooble has already suspected though so catches on pretty quick but doesn't say anything so Jax can come out on hey own time
Caine unlocks their avatars so they can make their own changes as they get better at summoning things and altering things in the circus
The first thing Jax summons, while she's alone, is a bow like the one Ribbit put on her. After wearing it around Pomni for a while and getting a bit more comfortable, she finally wears it around everyone else
Jax really doesn't want everyone to make a big deal out of things and let's Pomni tell the others that Jax is just playing around with things and just doesn't want any attention about it so they just treat Jax as usual
As Jax gets more comfortable playing around with her style in private and with Pomni she gets more confident around the others until she officially comes out and Ragatha can't hold back telling Jax/Lily, how happy she is for her.
Jax and Pomni have definitely started hooking up during all of this.
I have a bunch more ideas, but I want to plot out something interesting with the other abstracted characters, including Scratch and Kinger's old co-workers, plus my idea for what happens with the digital circus in the long run, but I want to rewatch the show first and need to plot everything out. Plus I've got no free time for this so it'll likely be ages before I actually write this.
