i finally was able to hop on webtoon and give your comic a read…and wow, i’m so blown away!!!
you truly understand arnold and helga in such a special and wonderful way and it made the reading experience so cathartic. ESPECIALLY helga. i’m absolutely floored with how you captured her though process through little personas and the whole jury scene was just—wow!! i was so fucking enamored i couldn’t rip my eyes off my screen. such beautiful art and framing and the characterization again UGH i felt like i was looking at what could very well be an official comic in the HA franchise
i especially really respect how you write helga’s boundaries and respect for arnold’s feelings. i read your ask post about TJM and it i completely agree that the boat confession scene felt extremely out of character and selfish of helga. i try to let it slide by going “ok, this was clearly built up for a long time and she was just blurting out these tense emotions”…but….errmmm idk!! it’s so hard to say she didn’t mean it when her reaction afterwards was to get angry at him!! it drives me nuts. i love that movie but, seriously… 😒
anyways, back to what i was saying; it just means a lot to me how much you understand and put so much love and care into helga’s depiction. i can tell in this comic she really does love arnold and it means so much to me to feel that’s represented properly

You don’t know how happy I was to read that! I’d say my biggest motivation for writing this story was definitely after watching the movie feeling very unsatisfied with how it was left off. I think that’s what helped me write chapter 14 as well in the alley I really wanted to make it clear that Arnold didn’t owe her his feelings, that how he felt was from a genuine place whereas the movie made me feel the opposite way. I’m so grateful you like it so far I’m in a bit of a writers block at the moment but I’m shaking myself out of it and this is definitely some good motivation to dedicate some time to sit down and finish my writing.
