It’s officially Summer! Well it has been for a while but here’s a catalyst for the upcoming Summer Nitocris rate-up this week. I love Nito. Actually I stuck with FGO when I first started playing 2 years ago because that’s when Summer Nitocris was revealed and I fell in love with her. FGO inspired me to draw and keep learning to draw so 2 years later I’m happy to finally finish this catalyst.

Kait from EX-Caliber: Dawn Cycle

My current Saturday campaign is a galactic space opera in the Mutants and Masterminds system. Kait started out as a happy go lucky wandering monk whose entire goal was to do odd jobs throughout the galaxy to send money to help repair her monastery on her home planet that was destroyed in the galactic war between catgirl monks and foxgirl technocrats.

16 sessions later she has traveled through time and space to learn trans-dimensional magic karate that allows her to summon elemental STANDS to combat eldritch gods and evil space dragons spreading their evil space aids.

Summary of my Art from 2018

Ultimately, I’m not sure how much I ended up improving. I’m just happy I finished so many pieces. The best part of 2018 was being consistent with drawing and posting. Hope to keep it up this year too.

MaidMonday - Cleopatra + Nitocris

I admit I have a few regrets about this piece. It was going to be a bit different, but Nitocris was a last second sudden surprise in my Chaldea, so i decided to do both of them together last minute. Also, I was originally going to give Cleo (and Nito by extension) a more elaborate, gold encrusted maid outfit, but as I sat down to draw I thought “I wonder what female servants in Egypt looked like and if I could incorporate that?” Well…Turns out they’re basically wearing almost nothing, according to the paintings and such i’ve seen, so I opted for a more scantily clad look. Upon coloring, I rapidly regretted it, since it looks a bit boring now. These two might get redone someday.
