“     we are at peace now.“ the north was at peace, the south was at peace. it seems so rare that they are all safe, most of them. others are lost, others are dead but they survived. barely. asher almost didn’t made it, one war after another had left him thorn and while he thrives and enjoys the battle, he is glad for the rest and peace that comes with being once again HOME.  “what are we meant to do at peace, sister?” and steel eyes find his youngest sister and offers a warm, gentle but timid smile and the man breathes. 

he is not cut to be a lord but he does it to respect his brother and father. he knows he must. and now, the north is independent as well, but they have lost their king, something asher is not in favor of. house forrester was among those who pledged to him and now, he was gone to the wall and they were allowing it. it does not suit well with him. “my mind troubles me, talia. this is as bittersweet as one could hope for.”

“   your grace, a word.“ the now lord of ironrath clears his throat and tries his best; so many years as a sellsword and an exiled, it seems that he had forgotten most etiquette when it came to address those above him. because sansa stark was above him and above all north. independent, aye, but with an absolute ruler for all of them. asher isn’t sure how to feel about their king being sent to the wall and just forgotten, but he doesn’t voice his doubts, his family had enough troubles as it was. the northern lord looks back at the lady and bows his head in a gentle nod before finally speaking. “part of my family is still missing, m’lady. i wanted to ask if you could spare some of your guards to aid me on my search. winter is still coming. my youngest brother ryon is still missing. as well as my sister mira.“ last seen in king’s landing and he doesn’t want to think what could’ve happened then.

THE SIGHT IS ONE HE CANNOT FORGET. years had passed, only a young girl when he had been forced to leave westeros behind but he could recognize her anywhere. blood calls for blood and asher who this lady is; beaten and a woman now, the passage of time on both of them but she is alive. she is breathing and back home. just like they did; their home had suffered tragedies and had to be rebuilt, but by the Old Gods, he could almost cry at the sight of her. “Mira.” he calls, her name sweeter than honey as it had been so long since he called for her. 

“Sister.” and his voice cracks under his tone, step by step as the lord of the ironrath cannot help but to sigh in relief. their family was as whole as it could be now. steel gaze looks before him, as if he cannot believe this is real, the guards around him trying to stop him, for they do not remember his young sister. foolish men who forget so easily. “the north remembers, gentlemen. have you forgotten the face of one of your own?” he speaks up then and he walks closer and closer, he reaches out but doesn’t touch, a hand ghosting over her neck and cheek. “is this a vision or you are here with me at last?” he should’ve looked for her harder than he did. 

he is guilty of not coming sooner to westeros, let him be damned, they had hurt her and he did nothing.
