she is so tired. she’s so goddamned tired and the only thing that is bringing her any peace is the vague sound of eggsy’s heart thrumming somewhere in his chest. “good,” she murmurs. roxy holds onto him with every ounce of strength she has, her forehead bowed into his shoulder, mourning the pain he’d had to feel, mourning her own two weeks of hell, spent disappearing from hospitals, wondering if the only real family she’d ever had had somehow betrayed her. more than that, she’d been afraid that she was the only one to survive. when the antidote began to arrive, little drones appearing throughout the sky in the neighborhood she’d hidden away in, she had wept with relief. it was indelible proof that kingsman had survived, and if kingsman had survived, eggsy had survived along with it–– of that she was certain. it had taken a little more time to track them down, but not much. with everything in such shambles, roxy was able to find out all she needed to know. still though, it’s difficult to grasp that this is all real. “i know,” she says quietly, flattening a palm reassuringly against eggsy’s back, gathering him a little closer. “i wasn’t sure if you... i thought i might’ve been the only one.” she lets out an improbable laugh, tears coming to her eyes, too. “i’ve never been so fucking glad to be wrong.”
