Becoming the Ice Queen. #halloween
Halloween sneak peek!
8 Point Faux Fried Rice! =9
Having to start ANY diet can be a struggle because you're ALWAYS tempted to have "just a bite" of your favorite comfort foods.
For me, that would be Chicken Fried Rice. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chicken Fried Rice.
Today... I craved it badly! I looked up how many points it would be on my Weight Watchers app, and it said 10 points for 1 cup. Okay I don't know about you, but 1 cup of Chicken Fried Rice is NOTHING. The chicken pieces take up most of the space anyway! I don't like to be cheated out of food.
So I went into the kitchen and created an 8 point oil-free "more than 1 cup" fried rice!
1 serving of Egg Whites (3 Tbsp) = 1 point
1 serving of Minute Brown Rice (1 cup) = 6 points
1 serving of Jennie-O Turkey Bacon (1 slice) = 0 points
1 serving of Peas and Carrots (1/2 cup) = 1 point
Take your Minute Rice, and heat it as normal in the microwave for 1 minute. (Remember to open up the container so the air can vent out!)
You want to use a small non-stick frying pan. You do NOT need any cooking oil! Since the turkey bacon is 0 points, take out 4 slices! Yum! Cut them into small pieces and start cooking them in the pan. The bacon will release it's own juices as you cook them. Remove the bacon and place it on a clean plate.
Now that you have a heated and juiced up frying pan, pour in your single serving of Egg Whites. (3 Tbsp = 1 egg) Scramble them up, and then add the rest of the ingredients into the pan. (Bacon, 1/2 cup of Peas and Carrots, Minute Rice)
Stir and cook for a little longer. (About 3-5 minutes)
Pour it in a bowl and ENJOY! :) This is SO DELICIOUS, and SO FILLING!
Compare the difference: 10 points for 1 cup of regular chicken fried rice. With THIS recipe you're getting 2 cups of "fried rice" for only 8 points!! Cheers my friends! Eat up!
xoxo

Transitioning to tumblr.
*phew* I think I have moved to different internet blogs over 20 times! I pray that this is the last time. Here begins my tumblr blog feed. I'm going to be adding in previous blog posts from my last site in order to start a feed going.

There is no such thing as boredom in my home.
At least not when you have a room full of makeup, lights, and instagram. ^_^ Have a great day everyone! xo Lana
My hands are raw.
You know, P!nk truly is the most underatted singer in the biz. I was completely stunned when I saw her Funhouse Tour. Singing live while doing ridiculous circus acts is a skill not everyone can master. Since I used to be a P!nk impersonator in Las Vegas, at the Imperial Palace, I've developed a secret wish to do trapeze work. Last night was the start of fulfilling that wish. Oh mylanta, that was SO not easy to do. It was rough getting over the fear of being up so high. For me, the worst part was climbing the ladder, and grabbing onto the bar as your toes hang over the ledge. My hands are getting sweaty just typing that out. Haha! I learned a lesson though. If you over think what you are doing, you are going to get hurt. That's exactly what happened to me. I was so worried about keeping my body tight and stiff, while jumping off the ledge I kicked my legs out and pulled my calf muscle. Then I hit my ankle hard on the bar, as I was trying to get my feet over it. All on the same leg. When I reached the ground, I couldn't walk. And I knew it was over. =( Just as I polished up the routine. I was so bummed that I couldn't do the routine with the catcher. (Where they grab your wrists, after you jump off your own swing) Here is the link to a video of my experience. This is NOT the video where I got hurt. Luckily, no one was taking video. Haha:

In case you were thinking about doing something like this, I should probably let you know what to expect the next morning. IF YOU DO NOT WORK OUT: A sore body. My calves are sore and so are my arms. You don't need too much strength because you use the momentum of the swing, and at times you are completely weightless. Still, I am sore. It's not painful, except where I hurt my leg, but it does feel like I worked out hard and I'm recovering from it. Oh, and my hands are raw. The next time I do this, I am going to pick up some grip gloves. IF YOU DO WORK OUT: You'll be fine. =) That's all for now! I recommend trying this. It's such a thrill! xo - Lana
I love you M*A*C!
We all know I am a makeup fanatic. I love using it. LOVE IT. But when a product completely WOWS me, I love it even more! (If that's even possible.)
M.A.C LIQUIDLAST LINER
Oh mylanta. I love it! At first I was on the fence about it - back when it first came out. It was so thick, and I thought to myself "I will probably never use this, because I love the Fluidline a lot better." But what happens when the summer hits, and it's time for the pool, beach, or even waterpark? Did I actually think my Blacktrack would hold up? At first. Yeah. Why not? It never runs any other time! --I was wrong. Fluidline can handle a splish and a splash --- but NOT a dunk! So today I decided to put Liquidlast to the test. I wish I did a video blog about it. It wasn't until half way through the day, that I even THOUGHT of logging this on camera. Fail. Today I went to Schlitterbahn, an award winning park for 14 years straight. (The rides are a lot of fun, so I can see why.) I also decided that I wanted to wear eyeliner and mascara. Who even KNOWS why... That's probably the LAST thing you should be putting on before going to a waterpark, but whatever, that was the situation today. I brought out the ol' Liquidlast liner, and gave myself a nice cat eye. Then I decided to try Revlon's Waterproof 3D Photoready mascara. (Side Note: It doesn't apply as nicely as the non-waterproof version.) After I applied that, I took a deep breath and prayed that I wouldn't end up with raccoon eyes at the end of the day. It was SUPER hot. The rides were BEYOND wet. Water went up my nose several times. There was A LOT of under eye wiping from waterfalls, rapids, and freefalls. While talking to one of my friends while waiting in line for Master Blaster, he laughed and said "I can't believe your makeup hasn't smudged at all!" I quickly rushed for a pair of aviators, and I couldn't believe it! Sure there were a few flakes from the mascara... like TWO. But the eyeliner was STILL THERE, as if I had just applied it!! Ah-mazing. Good job M.A.C., this was a total win! I suggest you guys pick this up if you're headed somewhere where you'll be in and under water, and you really NEED to wear something on your face! =)
