Sergio walked back into the room and looked over at Lana. He hoped this wouldn’t really affect her too much. “You also promise not to snore?” He teased and jumped into bed. He waited until she was in bed next to him and turned off the lamp by his bed. Getting comfortable he took a deep breath and sighed. “You’ll be aight,Lana. I’m sure they’ll catch whoever did it. I’ll put out a word for a cop car to go down your street every night if necessary.” 

Shooting him a weak smile a light chuckle escaped her lips. “You have me confused with Reggie. He can bring down the whole house.” Sliding in next to him, she turned to face him. “Thank you.” She murmured once more while scooping the pillow under her head to get comfortable. Nodding quietly, she tried to find a little faith in his words. “ Thanks---I think i’ll be okay if not I have you and Reggie right?”

“You always make it and peanuts are gross unless they’re in reese’s soo… there you go.” she said sliding the bowl back to Lana sipping on her beer as she watched the woman down the shot. “Can you pace please? I don’t need you throwing up on me by midnight.” she laughed before calling the bartender over for another round. “As for my cleanse each time I do it I lose 10lbs. I’m trying to get ready for summer.”

“You have a serious sugar addiction...which is why we mesh so well together.” She admitted while downing another shot. Ten minutes at this place and the woman was already four shots in. “I can hold my liquor alright. The question is, when are you going to catch up?” The brunette smirked. “I need you to loose weight the healthy way. I.e., putting actual nutrients in your body. What are you loosing weight for anyway, you have  a great ass.”

“Sleep is for the weak.” He said in mid yawn. Sergio walked into his room and took off his shoes before going into his closet and grabbing two tshirts. One for him and the other he handed to Lana. “You shouldn’t worry about me,Lana. I carry a gun everywhere I go.” He smiled at her and walked over to the bathroom to change and to also give her her privacy. “You could stay in Ryder’s room if you want. He won’t be home until tomorrow.” He called out.

She shook her head softly, the way he overworked himself was  crazy. But she knew he does what he does because he cares about the wellbeing of others. “Thank you” She murmured while accepting the shirt. Slipping out of her clothes and setting it aside, she pulled his shirt on with ease. Nimble fingertips ran backwards through her hair as she took a deep breath. She didn't know how to say she needed him without sounding weak. Nibbling on her bottom lip she looked down at her hands. “Do you--do you um mind if I sleep with you?--I promise not to steal all your covers.”

“You know your superman don’t need sleep.” He said to her rubbing her back in soothing circles. He didn’t want to show her but he was honestly freaked out. It was one thing solving crimes for people you didn’t know but to know something had happened to someone he cared about made him afraid. Lana was a dear friend to him and he admitted to Ryder that he had developed feelings for the girl. He planted a kiss on top of her head and laced his hand with hers, leading her inside his apartment. “You wanna talk about it or do you just wanna go straight to bed?”

“I know, which is exactly why I worry about you.” A brief soft smile parted her lips. All it took was a sum of a few words and the brunette had already felt a little safe. Following behind him as he led her inside, she fiddled with his fingers as her shoulders shrugged upward slightly. “Bed.” She didn't really want to talk about it, she didn't really know where to start. The woman felt silly for feeling this way but it was like someone took away her security tonight the last time she had felt like this she was a teenager. She just wanted to feel safe again. “We both need sleep, and I am making sure you get some superman.” 

Sergio didn’t want to know what time it was and he honestly was too sleepy to look. He had gotten home exhausted from the recent case he had been working on and hadn’t bothered to eat nor take off his shoes. His room mate,Ryder spent most of his days at his girlfriends house which meant the apartment they shared wasn’t as rowdy as usual. The ringing of the doorbell jolted him up and he rolled out of bed,disoriented. Sergio walked to the front door,his eyes still half way closed. “Yo this better be Beyonce at my door step right now.” He called out as he opened the door and was met with Lana. He rubbed his eyes and let out a yawn. “Girl I swear to God…” He began in a low voice until he heard what had happened. That really made him wake up. “Are you alright though? You weren’t there were you? Damn… Did you call the cops? Wait.. I’m a cop. Why didn’t you call me?” He rubbed his eyes and grabbed her by her hand pulling her into a hug. “Come on,mami.”

“Yeah, I called them--” A low sigh escaped her as she fell into his warm embrace, nodding her head she held onto him for a brief moment. “Thankfully I wasn't home, whoever it was really trashed the place. The cops where there for hours, I didn't want you to have to drive all the way over there so I came here. You've been busy.” She admitted. “I couldn't really sleep there tonight, I just--yeah.” She couldn't entirely bring herself to admit it, but she didn't feel safe in her own home at least not right now. Maybe that’s how she ended up here at his door, there was the underlining emotion of feeling safe when she was with him. “I’m sorry--for waking you. You work crazy hours as is, last thing you need is to get woken up. You don't sleep enough.”

The drive to his lace felt the longest, she was beyond tired and had been at the studio most of the day. She figured she could have called Elliot, but it was late and she didn't want to worry her too much. Pulling into a parking spot the woman made her way up to his doorstep. Ringing his door bell she waited for him to answer unsure if he was home. The door opened slowly, she could tell he was sleeping. It was expected after all it was pretty late. “--hey” She murmured. “I know it’s late..I’m sorry I didn't mean to wake you or anything. So yeah someone like broke into my place--and I can’t really sleep there tonight..can I stay here tonight?”

spent the night over at serg's place.

lana got him a rolex that reminded her of him.

while waiting/watching him cook the two took shots. lana a little more than him.

in the mist of waiting for the food to be done the two watched recaps of the real madrid. 

after a more than delicious dinner lana broke out the handmade desert empanadas she made.

after dinner and pre-desert lana slipped into something a little sexy.

The busiest season of the year in the entertainment industry and I spent the whole day watching movies. I can almost see what people do with that information if I didn’t profess my love for Netflix aloud.

So in other words, you spent the day being human. I mean at least you weren't chewing down on chocolate or something. As a avid Netflix addict I feel for you. They might use it as leverage when you're throwing out claims about being productive.
