ringlettine:
    A sigh precedes her words. âNon, you know very well how I feel about that.â Assassin this, executioner that â If that was truly all to him, then would she even give him the time of day like this?
   âYes, I was just returning from my job, but I sensed a stalker pervert and decided to investigate!â Said with a smile as always, as if the words she speaks have no harshness to them whatsoever.
   âI am a Servant too, you knowâŚ? And if you wanted some company you should walk beside me so that we may talk.â A command wrapped in subtle invitation. Without missing a beat she continues her stride, hoping â knowing, rather â that Sanson would follow.
âYou wound me your majesty. I would think my presence would invoke more than a sense of perversion.â he said, playing into her jest. At least, he hoped it was one.
Not wanting to disregard the words of his queen, he did as she asked without hesitation. He maintained a short pace behind her however; he was not worthy of being directly by her side.
âIf you are want for something you need only ask, and I shall procure it for you. You need not sully yourself with the work of commoners.âÂ
The thought of Marie taking orders from those below the level of her grace disturbed him, although he would not show it. It was doubtful, nay, impossible that they would grant her the respect she deserved, nor the courtesy. While he knew he did not house the ability to stop her once she had her mind set on something, the fact that he had allowed it to be so she had to lower herself in this way sent a tinge of self disgust into himself.
No, no, this looked like a hassle. Or felt like one. She could sense another Servant, which meant they could sense her too. She couldnât see them yet however, so she was just shuffling along the alleyway hoping she could get home before she was drawn into a conversation she didnât have the energy to participate in.
But of course she turned the corner and there he was.
In a panic she spin around with the intent of fleeing andâŚ
Ate the wall.
@lamortespoir
He just stared. Another of the ones who shared the face with Britainâs queen. Perhaps he should not find it odd that he had met with several in his time in this city considering the abundance of them, but still he questioned his luck. This oneâs demeanor was far different from the others. Her luck as well it seemed was changed.
âI find this display shameful for a Servant such as yourself.â he said, still not removing his cold stare. âNot only did you fail to escape, you have injured yourself as well. Were this a War, your Master would be felled and your chance at victory dashed.â
He put his hand on her shoulder. His face was fierce, but his hand was far gentler.
âYour body as a Servant may be tougher than a humanâs, however it would still do me wrong not to check on your status. Do you believe yourself to have suffered any head damage?â More than you have already clearly suffered, he thought, but decided to keep out of his words.

gonegenki:
Sayori continued to cry, but she slowly began to calm down. Sanson had a strange effect on the young girl and she was already beginning to feel a lot better. Everything still hurt, but at least the pain was fading a bit. The young girl was already fond of him.
âO-okay, I think Iâm a bit better now. Th-thank you Charlie. W-with everything thatâs been going on itâs nice to know that someone caresâŚeven if they r-really shouldnât. A-and you give me too much credit for being kind and caring, I-I really donât do much haha, barely get out of bed every morning. Youâre right about pain and self-worth, the p-pain never really goes away and the only way I-Iâm ever gonna find any worth is if I look for it in myself. Itâs justâŚhard sometimes wh-when you feel like the world doesnât want you to be happy and n-nothing you do is ever going to matter. B-but if you believe that I can do it th-then I will do my best not to disappoint, I p-promise.
Sayori nuzzled into Sanson and buried her face in him once more. He was very comfy and she didnât want to move for a bit, but she did agree that they should probably leave and not cause a scene. At the very least, she stopped hyperventilating.
âGoing home sounds nice butâŚI donât really know where to go. Iâm really new here and I havenât been around much, so I couldnât tell you where to go eheheâŚsorry. Sitting down and talking with you sounds really nice though, is there somewhere else we could do that?â
Normally the young girl would be very flustered at the prospect of being alone with him, but the need for a friend and some conversation had immediately overridden any semblance of shame or embarrassment that she may have had.
If she was not certain of where to go, he would simply take her to his own âhomeâ. Of course he realized how improper that may end up seeming, however he simply did not care about appearances. It was not as if his motivations were improper, and it was rare he used the room himself anyway.
The sensation of her against his chest was odd he thought. He was not a hero. This may be something that most Sabers or Lancers were used to, but this had never been a role of his. He was an Assassin for a reason, but there was a certain feeling that came with it. While he knew it was not a place he could assume, to be holding the âdamsel in distressâ in such a way gave him not so much a pride but an experience he did not dislike. He could understand why so many heroes preformed such events.
âI will take you somewhere else then. Do not worry, I will ensure it is safe.âÂ
âTell me of your own world. Mine is, complicated. While I can say I understand the ways and time of this city, I cannot say I have experienced it.â he said to her, mostly to calm her down. And also to distract her from the fact that they once they were out of the hall and into the city that they were moving much faster than a human should be able to.
âYou spoke of friends, tell me of them. My own... associates are far from what one could consider to be normal. Eccentrics is the least that they can be called. Tell me of your normal. Tell me of the world that has formed around you. The dull, as well as the exciting.â
@lamortespoir
  Nothing about this city felt normal. Granted, her situation prior was hardly one other people could relate to. Letting out a quiet sigh, she crossed her arms over her chest as she made her way through the shopping district. Maki could hear the excited screams of people riding amusement park rides from a mile away (not that she wanted to go on those rides herself). She could care less about people wasting money just to be thrown around on some old ride.
  Making her way closer towards the area, she stood off towards one of the arcade machines, leaning against the glass mechanism while people walked by. It did look amusing, but she wasnât going to play. Those games were always a scam.
   âWere you thinking of giving this a try? It isnât worth it. Use your time somewhere else.â
In truth Sanson had little interest in the area. He was like to be described as a boring person, but this simply was just not his idea of fun. He could easily however see that perhaps others would enjoy such a place, and had taken it apon himself to understand the parts that seemed the most entertaining, and of course most dangerous.
In the midst of this mission, a voice came to him while he was observing. It certainly was not meant to be, however it came off as a bit of a command. A feeling of spite welled up inside of him at that. So with little effort or care he went to the machine. Within moments, the fanfare of victory played loudly.
The power of A luck was never to be underestimated.
âTake a lesson from this. Your perceptions of the world will oft differ from others. Never make assertions of certainty when you are not aware of all the information in a situation.â
And with his the more you know statement done, he tossed the prize to her in a gentle arc.Â

finalbosslike:
That look in his eyes as well as the threat that definitely didnât sound like a threat was very reminisce of Fenrich. So much so that the weapon ended up reacting the same way as if the werewolf was the one that said that. The final boss quivered at the thought of how horrible it would be if she couldnât speak or see. She needed to be able to do those things to praise Fuka and stare at her!
âDonât copy Fenfen! Desco does not do well against him without Big Sis, so that is against the rules!â
For a moment he wavered at such a reaction. It seemed to truly be a child, possessed as it may be. In fact the way it looked, it was almost similar to another Servant. He wondered if his memories of Salem had remained if he would act differently.
But it was just a moment of before he pushed the thought aside. Whether it was a Foreigner or a simple Demon was irrelevant, until he ascertained the level of which the threat on Marie was real, he would not let any emotion slow him.
The Servant Charles Henri Sanson was away. It was only the Executioner standing there.
âI duplicate the actions of no one; I am myself and myself alone. If you understand you are outmatched however, then good. You will see then the foolishness that taking arms against my queen would be. You would do well to remember it.â
salturia:
   SULKING OUT OF HIS OWN VOLITION? âWhile I do not care⌠for what reason would you sulk if not for the thoughts of your queen? Are you too, lost in this maze?â That would be a nuisance if so. At least offer some utility so she can take full advantage of it. Or is that too much of a request to handle? No⌠no. Assassin is a clever man, insensible as he may be. While she may rightfully underestimate him in many ways, there is some faith that he can redeem himself with the assistance of her demands.
   Bearing with this selfishness is already almost satisfactory. Now, if he underlined his thoughts with a bold and confident voice and used it to address her superiority over the other tainted Servants, his esteem would begin to resemble a level of respectable. âYou would be correct. While I would never select you for my own convenience, you are all that is currently available. So prove your worth, Assassin. Be my navigator.â
   After all, a tyrant cannot be without their subordinates. Shall we tally him as the first on that list? Yes, that would be ideal.
He gave a scoff at her words. Perhaps his judgement of her intelligence was incorrect. Or maybe she was just making fun of him. She meant to test his loyalty and not only defect him to another monarch, but to speak of his queen in the same breath? It was a wonder Britain lasted as long as it did with her at its helm, and Alter was less of a fool than the others.
âWas my forced betrayal of Marie by Jeanne not enough, you wish for me to betray her once more? My worth is not for you to decide Alter; nor is it any monarch or manâs. Unless you are asking for me to take your head as well.â
Truth be told, she may have been the ideal person for him to serve. At the core their means and goals were the same; achieve peace and hope by severing evil with evil. Perhaps due to that similarity he could not truly dislike her, despite his words. His time as a tool of the people had passed however; never again would he betray his queen, that was certain among all else.
âI am not like your Knights who fall in line at a single word, until the cracks begin to show only to jump ship. No, I will not serve you. Nor however, will I leave you to suffer on the streets. I am doubtful friendship is something you can comprehend, so what I will offer you is an alliance of sorts. You may call me an ally, and I will allow you to make your requests. Should I find the tasks unsavory I will not hold back my criticism. I would think you would appreciate honesty, unless you seek another Mordred to turn your back to.â

//just a note
starters and replies will happen
but itâs really really cold the last few (and should be the next few)
and i donât want to leave my blankets
   WHAT A MISERABLE, GROVELING FACE. It has its uses. Mopping the curb of this filthy street, for example, or bowing before her, offering a servitude similar to the one he harbors for Marie Antoinette. It would be worthwhile to gain a navigator to quicker learn the layout of Hive City. After all, does he not look attuned to the townâs inner workings? Perhaps his usefulness can be heightened here, more than it would ever be at Chaldea with so many superior Servants breathing his space.
   âSulking for the Queen as usual, Assassin?â
@lamortespoirâ
âI will have you know I have the capacity to sulk for my own sake, Alter.â he spoke with a reactive sigh.
It was always the problematic ones that appeared before him. Never could he meet with another Servant that wasnât scheming or impossible to deal with. In some cases a Berserker would be preferable. Alter was not quite that bad he supposed. While she was aggressive and abrasive, she was at the very least some level of loyal and intelligent.
It was certainly better than another Alter in the end.
âWhat is it you want from me? Certainly I am not one of your usual associates. I am not foolish enough to believe you did more than pass me by out of familial courtesy; you have a request of some nature.â
   The undeniable familiarity of this sensation has far since pulled the Queen from her usual route back home. Through a city bathed in moonlight she glides without fear, even if the one she sought to meet was bathed in a history of blood and death.
   Everyone deserves a second chance at their own story, donât you think?
   âSanson⌠Stalking around in the dark will only get you in trouble, you know.â
@lamortespoir
A woman of peerless beauty was what his queen was. There were none that would not be struck by a simple glance at any part of her, and there were many that would try to do more. In a place such as this especially, and with less than stellar understanding of common people, it was a danger that she walked the streets alone. The danger was not to her of course, but those that may attempt some form of misdeed. This woman was like stronger than himself, it was for the sake of those that would be left broken and battered that he followed her.Â
This logic was a lie of course, but it was the excuse he had been telling himself.
âThat may be so, but I am an Assassin. It would not be wrong to say it is my only true role.â he answered her, removing his useless Presence Concealment in full.
âThe night is quite cold my queen. Should you not be returning to your home? It would no one well should fever take you.â
@lamortespoir
Long dark trench coat: Check! White hair: Check! Hopeless-looking eyes: Double Check!
That can only mean one thing.
âYou must be a top evil henchman of a tyrant bent on world domination or possessed by a evil god! Tell Desco their name so she can eliminate them!â
A quick reaction. Within moments the materialized sword was in his hand, pointed at... the air. He expected taller, he would be honest. A moment later he would adjust, pointing it at the clearly non human entity that dared utter such slander.
âSpeak such lies about my queen again and you will never speak again. Threaten her again, and you will never see again.â
Not even a moment of hesitation, nor a single retort towards her comment about himself had occurred from the moment her words touched his ears.
akagiyo:
Amused, she giggled at his words.
Slowly she walked towards him, her fingers reaching for his chin.Â
âSoul, what an abstract thing to speak of,â she whispered. âChaldea? Must be a new country, then tell me, what has Chaldea conquered? What ships do they sail, and how far have they gone? I for one can say that I have proudly served a commander who sought conquestâŚâÂ
She paused, her eyes hardly faltering from his gaze.Â
âFar from incompetence.â
âJust calamity then.â Sanson said, reading between the lines. âIt would appear we would end on opposing sides, should our Masters meet.â
âCalling it conquest may not be completely inaccurate, however that is not how my Master, nor myself, would see what we do. More apt would be liberation, or reparation. Distance... is not something that can be measurable. Time, space, even the realms of gods are within the bounds they have saved.With Servants, Heroic Spirits who have answered their call, at their side, they have done whatever they had to in order to save the Human Order.â
A light smile crossed his face, as just a puff of laughter could be seen and vaguely heard from his chest. Just when did he become this kind of person, he wondered.
âEven without us by their side, they strive to repair what others have broken, and save those who need rescue.â
