“I hope you girls are hungry,” Axl made his way over towards his daughters, swirling a spoon inside some applesauce.
He turned to the little girl on his left, and lifted the spoon up to feed her. She opened wide, wrapping her tiny lips around the cool metal. Axl tilted the spoon upwards as she pulled away, aiding in his daughter’s attempt to gather all the applesauce into her mouth. A few drops of the food fell onto her chin, and he grabbed a napkin that was luckily nearby, wiping it away. The baby giggled, her bare feet kicking against her high chair as he turned to the little girl on his right, scooping up more applesauce. She shook her head, pouting her bottom lip. Axl knew that face, he definitely knew that face, and he had a strong gut feeling that this wasn’t going to end well.
“Come on sweetheart, don’t start,” he pleaded with the small child, moving the spoon towards her mouth.
Her tiny hands came in contact with his large ones, pushing him away. Axl sighed, she was stubborn just like him. “Mommy is gonna be home soon, and if I don’t feed you I’m gonna hear it from her, so please take the applesauce,” he inched the spoon closer to her mouth, and to his surprise she opened up.
“Good girl,” the praise was cut short, when nearly swallowed applesauce came flying out of his daughter’s mouth and onto his shirt. “Did you just-” Axl looked down at the food covering his shirt, then back at the baby in front of him. Both girls burst into a fit of giggles, their hands smacking against the table that was connected to their high chairs.
Amelia Aspyn Rose, and Devon Jane Rose were born in the summer of 1990. If anyone were to tell Axl that he would be a father to twins, he would’ve drank to it, calling them absolute nutjobs. That fantasy slowly became his reality, when he got you pregnant. Not with one, but two little troublemakers that resembled him in an uncanny way. Your pregnancy wasn’t glamorous by any means, and he spent most of his free time away from the band to take good care of you until the babies were born.
