Have i become an advocate of defending Leo? what’s going on here? 

Ronaldo had a better year than Messi, he isn’t the better footballer!!

Lets talk about why Messi is a better footballer than Ronaldo. Yes Messi has less goals than Ronaldo at the moment (Let’s not begin about how many tap-ins and penalties Ronaldo has scored this season fyi). But right now i’m talking about skills not statistics..

While Ronaldo is the main focus of a more worldly attack, Messi sets up his. Messi has a beautiful combination of speed, balance and technique which gives him the ability to dribble past 3, 4, 5 players and come out the other side with the ball still glued at this feet. He is in complete control.

Also Messi is more creative during a match, his imagination and innovation are off the chain.. he has a strong vision of everyone and everything around him which allows him to get the ball to the best possible place so his team can develop an attack.He keeps his teammates active and involved (which you could see if you watch the game against Real Sociedad)

We all know that Leo has a remarkable reputation for being a good team player and is very rarely accused of holding onto the ball longer than he should have done. Ronaldo on the contrary has been accused many times of playing for himself and holding the ball too long when a teammate would have been a better option…

As for diving.. well we all know what i’m going to say after this. But let’s act suprised =P Messi gets hacked, kicked, they pull his shirt. But almost every single time he’ll do what ever he can to stay on his feet and continue to play. And we all know Ronaldo has received criticism for going down to easily.. a player of his caliber shouldn’t do that. He doesn’t need to do that.

I respect Ronaldo as a player, for me he is the second best player at the moment. And if he wins the BdO, than fine. He deserves it after the year he had. But nobody comes near the little genius Messi. Leo has a natural ability and technique on the ball which i haven’t seen on any other player in the world. The guy is pure and pure talent.
