FIRST of all. Edinburgh Castle in the background. How absolutely stunning is that? In one panel she’s looking at the castle in a slip dress, clearly ready for a night there, and in the other she’s in her jeans with her research – the two sides to Hermione in this fic. Beautiful. And don’t even get me started on the slips of paper / doves. (Also, the font on The Auction reminds me of the font for the TV series Angel, and I ADORE.)

What I love about the other four panels is that they are all such major, detailed scenes.  The “Bloody Waltz” is such an important moment to me because it was part of the outline for this fic for forever. “It doesn’t mean anything” almost didn’t make the final draft of that scene because I was like, “Bah. Too heavy-handed probably,” but I wanted it in and the AlphaBet let me keep my angst. :) Only as I was creating this gushing thank you post did I notice the beauty mark on Draco’s shoulder that is PLUCKED from chapter 9. I am dead.

The Edinburgh couple pic is just so lovely. Hermione’s hair down and wild in all of these is such a nice touch by @avendell. And Draco’s Slytherin ring on his thumb. The style of her dress is so fancy for such a short number. And PLEASE tell me you all noticed the texture on Draco’s jacket??

I mean, what can be said about this chaise lounge that hasn’t already been said? ;) I just adore the perspective on this. There’s a filmmaker/storyteller I respect who said once that he likes to show extremely intimate moments from far away, so the view feels a certain sense of scope and importance. That’s all i could think about here. (Besides SEX.)

And New Year’s Eve, whipped out in under two weeks, is just so spot on. I’ve posted on here and on Pinterest that my inspiration for Hermione’s dress was a black version of Gweneth Paltrow’s Oscars 1999 dress and if you look that up, man will you see the detail Avendell went into here. Even the gauzy shawl which I never even mentioned but was clearly in my head.
