If you read all of this thank you very much, and I apologize if it’s worded poorly. It’s late and as usual I have a lot of thoughts keeping me up so it’s quite hard to keep all of my thoughts organized.

I really just wanted to ramble again. Typing out my thoughts in posts like this really helps me think about my favorite stuff more, and draw conclusions on things I would have trouble doing so otherwise. It is also night with not much going on so it’s just a whole bunch of crap going on up there.

I just remembered when I first personally came to the conclusion that Ryuji had ADHD. There’s lots I want to say about it feels somewhat difficult to organize lots of thoughts on this at this moment. Last summer though, it came to me while I was in what would be the last palace for the P5 vanilla, and that’s all I could think about. Whenever I was thinking back on it then, and all of his actions and how we would respond to people totally made sense when thinking about how ADHD affects people, or with how I viewed it at least. It really hurts when in-game there’s dialogue making fun of him for a “lack of intelligence”. Also because Kamoshida ruined his chances of participating in sports, I feel like for him internally there wouldn’t be much incentive for him to really try much. Though this kind conflicts with another feeling I had, with the nothing education wise just really sticking. I’m not exactly sure, there’s probably better possible wording I could give, but I can’t exactly find the right words at the moment. I also might just be extremely biased and projecting how I feel about adhd onto him, and also I have somewhat similar feelings on Yosuke and Junpei, or what I feel like they’re sometimes called “the bro characters”. Though, because Persona is from a Japanese company I feel like they just made those characters purposefully “dumb” because it’s a common character trope or whatever over there. That could just be because of my own ignorance though, and because again I’m having trouble with wording I have a feeling I might be wrong. Anyways, viewing those characters through an “ADHD lens” or whatever really helps me feel better about myself and like the characters even more. I hope for persona 6 they can make a character with ADHD (traits) not a complete punching bag for the rest of the characters. Also this somewhat extends to Danganronpa as I feel like Yasuhiro, Kazuichi, and Kaito have it (or traits) as well. Then again I also feel like they’re made somewhat “dumb” for the sake of being a punching bag as well. I also really dislike how much of pervert Kazuichi can be, but looking past all that stuff I like his character a decent bit.
