Jealousy had the potential of tearing apart the Corinthian church. These believers had received the gospel but had not allowed the Holy Spirit to change their hearts. As a result, they become jealous of one another, which led to a divided community. Dont be jealous. Let's genuinely celebrate the gifts and blessings of others!
"Keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." - Ephesians 4:3
Despite inevitable differences with other believers, harmony with other Christians is important because it reflects the unity between Jesus and His heavenly Father. Whenever there's a problem within the family of God, the Bible says we are to respond with all lowliness, gentleness, and longsuffering; bearing with one another in love. Let us all be one in glorifying the Lord our God!
"Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." - Galatians 6:7
We sometimes deny the relationship between sowing and reaping in our relationship in our spiritual lives. Living to please our flesh yields corruption in the form of wanting what isn't ours, being self-centered, and even substance abuse. Walking with the spirit produces peace, kindness, and self-control.
By God's grace, we can choose to sow to the spirit and reap eternal life.

Paul and Barnabas have risked their lives. But their motivation was far different. Their goal was to exalt Christ through the preaching of the gospel. They faced beatings, persecution and imprisonment but they were more than willing to take the risks to make Christ known. Many believers take risks to spread Jesus' good news and others remain silent because of fear. Have you been ignoring opportunities to share the gospel? God has provided His spirit to empower you and His word to make the message clear. Ask God for courage to speak up and witness for the savior. Taking risk will be worth it.

Possesions sometimes keep us from finding what is truly valuable. Jesus had an encounter with a rich man. His earthly wealth was more important to him than spiritual treasure. Although money is not evil, it can prevent us from inheriting true riches if accumulating it is the goal of our lives. To hoard wealth is foolish, for it is genuine faith that will sustain us through trials; genuine faith will result in praise, honor and glory to God. Good morning! :) Shalom!

After Jesus miraculously fed 5,000 people with 5 loaves and 2 fish, the crowd followed Him wanting more. The Lord told them not to work for physical food that spoils, but for the food which endures to everlasting life: word of God. As followers of Jesus, we should help those who lack adequate physical nutrition. And with all, we can share the good news that our hunger for inner peace, forgiveness, and hope can be satisfied by knowing Christ the Lord.
"Turn Away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in your Way." - Psalm 119:37
Some people often make conclusion about the Bible as something God puts over our eyes to keep us from seeing all the fun we could be having. Some people feel sorry to those who read it because they think that Lord keeps them from enjoying life. But the truth is, it doesn't keep us from seeing all that is good. thus, it keeps us from being infected by lies that cause spiritual blindness.
The Bible doesn't keep us from enjoying life nor keep us from knowing truth; IT PREVENTS US FROM BELIEVING LIES.
"Pray for those who spitefully use you." - Luke 6:28
Praying for those people who treat us with contempt is one way to do good to those who hate us. Jesus explained that Christians get no credit for swapping acts of kindness with other 'nice' people, thus He said that even sinners do the same. However, blessing our persecutors sets us apart from them and aligns us with the Most High, because God is kind even to wicked people.
So when you someone cornered or harm you, dont fight back! Instead, pray for that person. PRAYER IS YOU BEST DEFENSE! :)
"When the Lord loves, He chastens" - Hebrews 12:6
As God's children, we sometimes create images of our heavenly Father that aren't accurate. We may view God as unloving when He corrects sinful patterns in our loves. And because discipline is painful, we may assume that God's correction is a form of divine revenge or result of His anger. In reality, it is proof of His love for us. He disciplines us for our benefit, so that we may be partakers of His holiness and experience the peace that comes from right living.
God isn't peering down at you with angry scowl or shaking a vengeful fist. Picture Him as a concerned Father, lovingly correcting His child in whom He delights.

Apologizing is a biblical action. Jesus instructed His followers to make things right with those we've offended. Apologies can be hard to make because it takes a spirit of humility to admit our mistakes, which may not come naturally for us. But taking responsibility for how we were wrong in a situation can bring healing and restoration to a relationship.

'Desires for pleasure' refers to our self-serving desires. Apostle James warns that such 'me first' desires will destroy our friendship with God and may cause divisions, wars and fights. So we are told to put off 'me first' thinking. But how? First, Submit to God. He is God and His will must always be first. Second, Draw Near to God. Deal with those desires that lead to sin by going to God for cleansing. Last, Humble Yourselves in the Sight of the Lord, then He will Lift you up. Let's Put GOD First! ;)
"Now may the Lord of Peace Himself give you peace always in every way." - 2 Thessalonians 3:16
People around me seem to be moving through life without issues or concerns, apparently steady and secure, while even the slightest issue can unsettle my heart. It's like, I get too easily stressed. I see others and marvel at their calm and wonder why my own life can so easily be filled with turbulence. Thankfully, the scriptures remind me that genuine, steadying calm can be found in the presence of God. Not only does God offers peace, He Himself is the Lord of peace!
"Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness?" - 2 Peter 3:11
Prophecy occupies more than a quarter of Scripture and believers should deeply value its role in God's revelation. Apart from it, we should know why God put it there. In the given verse above, Peter described how the world will end. In other words, we should make choices daily for godly living that conform to our future dwelling place, in heaven. Are you doing things that can make you enter the heaven?

"Sacrifice and offering you did not desire; my ears you have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering you did not require." - Psalm 40:6 The word "opened" in the verse can be translated to "cleared out" and it speaks of what God desires for us. Even though sometimes our spiritual ears may be blocked by the background noise of the sorrounding culture or the siren songs of temptation and sin, He wants our ears to be open and ready to hear Him as He speaks to us through His word. Let's keep our ears open to Him so that we will be sensitive to His voice, and may we listen with our hearts.
