Being an avid fan of dark fantasy and the macabre, my art style and subjects can range from cute and cartoony to grim painting caricature. I dwell a lot of my work and research into the semi-accurate period piece, the occult, folklore & mythology, horror (all sorts but mainly medical) and death. My favorite subject being; characters of the Victorian era, Ghouls/Skeletons, Folklore creatures, Eldritch entities and classic monsters

Some great inspiration in writing or visual are;  Mike Mignola, Jhonen Vasquez, Kevin Roualland, Harry Clarke, Junji Ito, Abigail Larson, Guillermo del Toro, David Lynch & many more. I tend to mix the cartoony Dark Comic style with a classic Gothic aesthetic.

Some art movements that I study and implement in my work: German/French Expressionist, Art Nouveau/Déco, Neo-Traditional, Modern Cartoon, Arts & Craft movement.

I usually prefer light-hearted horror but sometimes I explore slightly heavier subjects or themes. If you don't like it you can keep scrolling.

My goal is to express myself, develop my art skills, explore ideas with subjects/themes that I love or interests me as well as sharing some of my experience and networking with heartfell individuals.

What are some of my Personal Projects?

✤ Le Croquemort (Aka The Caretaker). The story about death, grief and rebirth. Pierre Hugo, an upgoing debonair city doctor who takes a short stay in a French Alpine town is met with strange apparitions of dead bodies. He meets with the local Undertaker, René Mallorie, with whom he ties to uncover the toxic aura that seemingly raises the dead.

I have been bouncing on and off this story since early 2019 (2018). It is the main project to explore the subject of my own grief with very close family members as well as battling depression.

✤ Undead Universe: This is a bit larger projects as it is  compiling all my ideas about stories from the Underworld or the Veil (Afterlife) since 2018. The tone of the subjects changed a lot but I always associated am hellish bureaucratic place, highly extrapolated from various jobs of mine and friends. You’ll see lot’s of undead characters, gargoyles, ghouls and other grim creatures.

The main story so far follows an agent of death, or a notary if you will, named E.Briggs. He is often mistaken for the typical detective archetype but he is a snarky revenant taking care of unfinished business for Death (Bela) while he try to escape his hell.

I have other stories and characters but they are mainly for illustrative story telling, one -off or comic practice. Nonetheless, they all hold dear to my heart and I hope to continue to create and have fun telling stories.
