Kip had spend half of his morning standing there like an idiot, he had started to question the vision at all, like he had maybe just imagined something and this weird scenario wasnât even going to happen. It was three coffees and a bagel later that he saw the man approach the stairs, and well, he was happy the other reacted to him at all. The little cursing was a surprise that caused Kip to raise his brows while looking back at the other. âI mean⌠now that we tied these shoe laces and have you walk these stairs with caution, I mean, nothing may happen?â At least Kip hoped he could help avoid that little mess. âI personally hate falling. I am not exactly gracious so when I fall, I usually hurt myself.â His brown eyes wandered back to the subway stairs which had him purse his lips. âI never fell down subway stairs but generally stairs. That really isnât nice.â Taking in Leo, the male looked rather fancy, nicely dressed and somehow he felt like the shoes alone were more expensive than his own pair. âAre you in a hurry?â
â
âItâs not just shoelaces, but letâs hope that way.â When he tried to prevent something bad, something else will take its place. Leo never trusts something nice happened to him. Itâs actually a sign of something bad in near future. When things are going great, he would definitely ruin it in no time. âI know how that feels. I always hurt myself but never fall down the subway either. I think you just saved my streak.â He rolled his eye, not at the stranger before him but himself, chuckled a bit. He got small scratches and bruises all over his body, whether itâs from tripping over something, or things falling on him, sometimes both. Sure that if someone didnât warn him about the laces, heâd fall down subway stairs for the first time, and that would hurt so much and be so embarrassing.Â
âI think I still have some time. Mind if I treat you to something tasty? I would hurt myself so much it wasnât because of you.â said Leo after taking a glance at his watch, a fancy one but full of scratches and cracks on the glass. The man before him looks like a nice guy, and something makes him feel like heâd be safe from any bad luck. He isnât superstitious but his gut feelings are usually right.
