I have seven individual sections, each with a diameter of 15 in. Currently, the plan is to connect them together and fill the gaps with extra hexagons later when I finish the sections.

The original idea was to do six across and seven down for the blanket, but I definitely underestimated the size of an individual section, so I am doing five across and six down; which is thirty sections total.

I have 23 to go and plan to finish before the end of summer.

A few standouts are:

Dinosaur section, old pillowcase and t- shirts, leaf hand towel and fabric my grandmother gave me.

"random bullshit go" section. Made of a pair of black pants that was bleach painted and an applique star made from an old bedsheet. Sigh, the stray thread.

SzPD flag section, I had to hunt around for old clothes for the rainbow, the rest were shirts that were already retired to the fabric bin from hell.

Addams! Leonardo's shell section, one of the tmnt au's I adore by @lackablazeical. I chose Leonardo because he's my favourite and I hate him. (Does this count as fanart?) It looks far more grey on camera it's more blue less rumpled and just generally better irl trust.

Remember when Lil Nas X beautifully explored his sexuality, seduced and killed the devil to the banger of all time, and instead of cheering on this openly gay and proud Black artist for his artistry and fighting back against respectability politics, suddenly said respectability politics was all the Queerest Place on the Internet cared about? Hm. Wonder what happened there.

Free protein lol

Inspired by 1) my childhood dog, who would immediately start chewing faster if anyone noticed him eating non edible things and 2) my brother, who ate a beetle that one time for no other reason than to prove he could.

We also had a moth infestation once when I was a kid, and every time I went to check if the cereal was covered in moths or not, that same brother would tease me to eat it anyways for the extra protein >:p

Displeased

You WILL be racist. You WILL do racist things. You have ALREADY done both. Learn and move on. There's no ideological purity you can hold on to, i promise. Proving you can take the criticism without making it a big deal and practice what you preach is better than any clean slate.

Mondo Gecko is laid back, confident, observant, and conniving. As the adoptive nephew of Manny—Repo Mantis, he’s a thief with the mindset that relationships are transactional and fake. Even with his friends the Punk Frogs. It’s what he knows— other than break dancing. He talks the talk, and is a great ‘negotiator’.

He knows the Hidden City like the back of his hand. Ask, and he “knows a guy”. He aims for what ‘benefits’ him— or so he tells himself, and thinks the frogs just keep him around for his skills. That said, he’s still quite attached to his friends and Uncle. 

Despite how he acts, he has a heart of gold that yearns to be loyal to his friends no matter what. Trouble comes— when all his friends are on their own separate sides.

Time will tell if he’ll play chicken and choose the deal and his family, or let certain friends of his remain once put in the cage.
