“Taste it for you? You’re right. It does sound weird but I’ma give you the benefit of the doubt because I trust you. However, I’m not sure why you are at a birthday party like this trying not to act up in front of the clan-- you don’t have to be drunk to make a meme. --But fine, I guess I’ll taste it just for you.”

     “look, i liked playing dress-up in my dad’s clothes when i was little as much as the next kid!”  louis sighed, seemingly defeated;  though he continued on with his rant,  “but i didn’t want to do it ten years later.  i’m nearly an adult and here i am, wearing my dad’s stuff from the nineties to the ministry.”  he’d recently hit a sizable growth spurt, and everything was awful for the young weasley boy.  not that he’d ever been too coordinated before, he was simply ungraceful now.  nothing fit and his only saving grace was that his voice had already changed and quit cracking.  well, mostly. 

“I mean-- you could do worse?” Lachlan scrunched up his nose as he glanced over the clothes. “Look, Louis...I’m not meaning to like question your social aptitude or how many friends that you have but -- you’re not much shorter or well,” He paused to pass his hand from the top of his head to Louis’. “Same height. And I’ve got plenty you could borrow...if you asked, someone might lend you some slacks and a button up. I would...roll up the sleeves at least or charm it to do...something other than what it’s doing. --Do you want help?”

“Does my arse look good in these jeans? I can’t decide,” Rose frowned, pulling her shirt up, her body butt first as she approached them. “I’ve been asking for opinions ALL DAY but people have been judgey and boring and I just need a good opinion, y’know? Bloody hell.” 

“Maybe it’s because they don’t want to tell you about the tragedy that’s going on back there.” Lachlan shrugged their shoulders before offering a cheeky grin. “Rosanna Weaslebee and the ‘ass incident’ 2023. –Also you are literally asking people to be judgey? What are you doing, Rosa?”
