a somewhat rare native orchid. not the hardest thing in the world to find but it's still cool nonetheless

like crazy to me that the band that has so heavily shaped who I am as I person is gone.

I started listening to glass beach in 2020 and they have been and still are my favorite band. glass beach has affected the person I am today in just so many ways it's hard to really put into words. frankly it's hard to believe I would still be alive if I didn't find them.

I don't know if I would have ever transitioned if it wasn't for this band (along with a lot of other things) I'm really so grateful for this band and everything beautiful they have created.

glass beach by glass beach has become somewhat of a theme song outlining my current relationship and for good reason. glass beach has always been what I associate with different eras of myself. Its music has fit my life for such an unbelievable amount of time It's essentially a time capsule for me.

I'm going to miss that weird little pocket of the Internet me and other fans created. I'm gonna miss sending photos of rats to each other. the community around glass beach is just so beautiful I really hope to see it continue to thrive as new people learn about glass beach.

I will never forget the impact this music has had on my life, I'll miss the vibrant community that surrounded it but I'm excited to see what it evolved into next, glass beach forever.
