"They looked like candy," she mumbles to Labrys, who is frantically trying to remove the bolts from her chassis.  The kitchen light flickered occasionally in need of a new bulb. Aegis likened the dull flashing to movements of stars she saw floating just beyond her reach.  The room seemed to unfold into nothingness and soon Aegis could see little other than the stars that danced around her sister’s face. 

Fuck. 

This wasn't good. While her soul was stored on the Plume of Dusk, there was no guarantee it couldn't be damaged if the rest of the systems malfunctioned this severely. She had to do something!!

Forcing her hand in the right direction and using way, WAY too much force, Labrys finally opened the chassis, almost tearing it open, but thankfully leaving all relevant parts undamaged. 

-There.

She didn't wait even a second. Labrys grabbed in... And ended up with both her hands covered in 12 surprisingly strong kitchen magnets.

"W-What the heck!?"

"Well, well! Then, what are we waiting for? If you would please step inside, milady? Your throne is already waiting for you, my royal majesty!"

"Hah... If ya say so. Now I better really get the best seat 'n the house, for your sake, my trusty knight." She demanded, her tone still hinting her to be in the joke. She stepped in as Teddie finished kissing her hand, and looked about her.

"S-SIS!?"

Labrys is horrified.

"FRIGGIN--- J-JUST HANG IN THERE, GOT IT!?"

She hurries to her sister's side, trying to open up her body--- which prooves difficult, as the metal on her hands is attracted by the magnets and she can't stir right.

"…..his soul gem won’t last long at all…. There’s no way I’m going to let him fall…"  His expression changed from worry to determination, the robot’s question making his resolve to fix this grow even stronger. 

"….I’ve got to set all of this right again. I don’t care if I have to make another contract with Kyubey. I don’t care if he hates me for it, but there’s no way I could let him get away with subjecting himself to so much." He paused, looking back towards the girl, reaching out to take her hand. 

"...I'll be honest. This all sounds weird. I'm still really not all that sure how it checks out and goes together, but..."

"...If there's really someone like that out there... Then I wanna help ya find him," she nodded. "After all... we all got each other's back, right? No one's left behind! Still..."

She gave the boy a more strict look.

  "If that would prove most efficient, please do so. I am unaware of any complications that may appear due to the differences between myself and you and your… ‘sister’ units." Even now, Lambda still didn’t seem to believe she or others like her could have a family or a life. Labrys was constantly proving her wrong however.

"Ah, dont worry! I should be able to format your data correctly to make ya compatible with a unit of our kind just fine! We're actually researchin' this kinda stuff right now..."

...Hearing how the girl continued, Labrys raised her head. Did she just process that right...?

"You... dunwanna have any way of fightin' properly?" she asked. "Are ya sure? I mean, I can understand not wantin' to be used for battle, but you'd leave yerself totally open for... pretty much anythin' that could possibly happen."

...She paused a moment.

"A-And it’s really OK!? You’re not busy or anything…?"

Few things could get the hardened, strict drill sergeant to openly express in her face how adorable the thing in front of her was. Teddie just happened to be one of those things. Sometimes.

Thankfully, he had his eyes closed just now. Labrys tried to regain her own composure before replying.

He carefully put the chocolates away and smiled at her, as her eyes looked a bit charmed, though not as much as his. He leaned back and put his arms behind his neck.

"Ahhhh, I have just been here, all alone, by my bearsome," he explained. "There’s nothing on TV and the radio’s just noise. It’s been such a beary boring day…"
